This series/world has to be my favourite of all time.
I wasn’t sure how anything could top Gideon (giggity) because I LOVED Gideon, and we all know how that book ended. But she was there in every chapter, even through her absence. I am not a fan of second person pov, BUT THIS IS THE EXCEPTION!
Tamsyn has an incredible way with words and worldbuilding, but I would have to say the best thing that she does is VOICE. Harrow oozed through the pages. So different from Gideon, that when chapter 44 hit (iykyk) it was such a marvellous shock.
I’m starting Nona right away and immediately making Locked Tomb my entire personality.
I feel like this book was written very specifically for me. Loved it! Akwaeke has such an incredible way with words. They describe emotion and experiences with absolute perfection. I feel like I was reading a masterpiece, but at the same time it was like sinking into the world rather than experiencing art from afar. It wasn’t needlessly dense - just perfect.
As for the story itself - an amazing story about grief and love. I cried, I cheered, I got all warm and fuzzy. I’m happy Feyi has Joy and even Milan in her life. I’m glad she was finally able to experience warmth and love. ❤️❤️❤️...more
