Some parts of Eve’s book was just too long and boring. And it’s too bad because the whole idea of this book within a book was creative.

I just appreciate books that don’t mention the current trending thing.
It’s really too bad because What Lies Between Us is one of my favorite books. This feels like it’s written by an entirely different person.
I’ve rolled my eyes plenty of times in this book. It reminded me so much of One of us is Dead by Jeneva Rose. And that one, I really hated. I couldn’t get into it so I had to DNF.
Didn’t care for any of the characters. Except maybe the cats. I didn’t care for the supernatural POV as well. And I feel really bad because I do like John Marrs as an author. But this was just not my cup of tea. I think I’ll re-read What Lies Between Us to get the bitter taste in my mouth lol. ...more
