I got the chance to listen to this book and the narrator's didn't disappoint. All those twist and turns keep me on my toes and i couldn't stop listening to it. It does fell like the book leaves you on a cliffhanger, great book.

I had never read a historical horror book before and I truly was mind blown by this one. This reminded me of the movie “Interview with a vampire� but I had never read a historical horror book before and I truly was mind blown by this one. This reminded me of the movie “Interview with a vampire� but with real history embedded in it. There are some major trigger warnings so be warned. The real history that’s part of this story was horrific and am glad the author brought this to light. This was by far one of the most interesting books I have read and I can’t wait to read more from this author.

This was a haunting story American people should read about. We don't get taught this type of history in schools in the US, it's usually tailored. This story is a precautionary tale and hopefully reminds future government of how easily the thread of trust and power can be broken. There were a lot of facts that i did not know and am glad i learned by listening to this powerful audio. History has a way of repeating itself and given the state of affairs in our country it can serve as a precautionary tale. The narrator spoke well and it made me feel like i was watching a PBS documentary. A must listen if you're into history.

I loved the combination of real life experiences and twisted to be this fun book. I go the chance to listen to the audio version of this book and thought was well done. I liked the usage of different actresses to play the three sisters and mother. I loved the concept I did think it was leaning to a horror book but it’s a modern gothic, the word “ate� can be interpreted in many ways. I had a good time listening to this twisted tale.

The lives that these two remarkable women had to endure from the moment they married til their untimeliness death was tragic. It was fascinating to learn about how free spirited they were and were showing a change in their attitudes as representations of the crown. Elisabeth and Eugene were modern women born at the wrong time and this book demonstrates that, a must read for any history buff.
