I liked seeing Kendra again, and I do love Dru and Spike (though the art in those stories left something to be desired -- a little bit too much Creepshow and not enough Buffy)
I liked the first collection better, as it had some of the origin type tales, but still, it was Buffy, and I really do miss seeing the show.

Granted he is a little dense about one particular portion of the story, but I think there are reasons, and I didn't feel the author left the feel of the character. I liked this story a lot, as it is a bit more Jayne centric, and I do so love a good Jayne story.
Also, it made me cry -- reading these stories that take place before the movie, yeah, there are just things that make me cry. ...more

She opens up the wounds that Scientology left her with, and also discusses some of the positives. She name drops. And she really has little nice to say about Tom Cruise. I enjoyed getting some insight into the popular cult that is Scientology (it's all about the money!) -- I tend to feel many religions have forgone doctrines for earning money. What does it say about a religion that begs for money? In addition to the Scientology stuff, Remini talks about her family, which was quite sweet. And it is clear, once she has chosen to be your friend, she will stick with you if it is in her ability to do so. Loyalty counts a lot for her. ...more

Such a good trip back to the 'verse.
In this one Mal gets captured (what? that never happens.) and everyone else has to save the day. A theme in this series? perhaps. But one I so enjoy. We also get a bit more Mal backstory, and that is always fun. ...more

I think she is the best addition to The Big Bang Theory with Amy getting the best lines (which she delivers wonderfully..."oh its a tiara" is just fantastic). So that is why I decided to listen to this book, narrated by the author.
I am NOT the target audience, but as I have been a girl, and have girled up quite nicely if I do say so myself, I do have some thoughts on this gem of a book. Mayim reminds girls many times throughout the book "this is normal" - which is really what we all wanted when we were going through the terribly growing pains that occurred from 12 until about 22. She also knows when to suggest a talk with a parent, or teacher, or someone -- get help, you don't need to feel this way!
If you have a daughter anywhere from age 8 to maybe 17...get her this book. I think it will give some great ideas and suggestions, and just knowing you are not alone can be a great thing too! ...more

I got the feeling that Lorelai Gilmore is really Lauren and vice-versa. There were many times in the book that I felt I was listening to the character more than the real person. Lauren is honest and human, and her little half laughs as she talks about embarrassing things remind me of my friends. And I really hope she is right, because it really was more of a cliff-hanger....more

This was a interesting look inside what turns out to be a pretty normal office - at least in my world (where things are a little odd). ...more

It made me think about my life, and to realize I don't need to apologize for doing things for me (like stepping down from being supervisor) - I don't have anyone I owe something to.
