We get: age gap, action, suspense, great writing! This book kept my interest even if I would have wanted more romance.

I enjoyed this one but I kind of loved the first book more. It might be the lockdown and my lack of concentration, but it took me longer to read this I enjoyed this one but I kind of loved the first book more. It might be the lockdown and my lack of concentration, but it took me longer to read this one. Longer than the first book and longer than usual. I still loved the banter between the main characters. And I have to admit I didn't guess the evil character's identity. It took me by surprise, but I felt like this one was unnecessarily long.
I really enjoyed Karsyn and Claude. Hope we'll get their story in the next book....more

This was Rafe's story, one of the 4 brothers and vampires in the Varik clan. He falls in love with another vampire. They were pretty hot together, but for some reason I needed much more. More angst, more action!! We get a fight, but it came a little too late for my taste. This story dragged. It felt unnecessary long.
I am curious about Bel and Winter, so I think I will read the next books at one point. ...more

It's SO hard to put into words what I felt while reading this one. It's another freebie I got from Amazon and again I auto-clicked because I thought we're going to get a HOT FATED MATES story.
"HEAT" it actually an M/M Gay Shifter Mpreg Romance... My bad, I didn't check the blurb. So it's only my fault. I had no idea while diving in about the Mpreg thing. I'm not a fan, actually I can't remember if I've read about this before, but I knew, I just knew it's not my thing. I can't for the love of God, wrap my head around it and be OK with it. Not even in a fantasy or fated mates or shape shifter story.
Dane is a shape shifter dragon and he finds his mate in a human. They share this strong bond and have wild sex. Dane is afraid his mate will die while being pregnant. He leaves him. Then he returns and takes his responsibility. They love each other. They have A LOT of sex. They deliver the baby dragon and the Epilogue shows us a happy family with friends. The end.
Unfortunately this was not my cup of tea. But it's a novella and I was able to finish it pretty quickly. Now I can honestly say Mpreg is NOT for me, I tried it and it didn't do anything for me....more

I had too high hopes for this one. At least it was free and not very long. I was able to finish it pretty quickly.
I didn't really like the main characters. They were supposed to be strong men, but they acted like teenagers... There's not much steam.
I won't continue this series because I just couldn't get interested in the secondary characters either....more

So, this one was lighter than I expected. We get a MFM scene pretty early in the book. To say I wasn't happy reading about the two MCs sharing a nameless woman, is a big understatement. Then the MCs ignore their attraction and feelings... and boom, pretty fast they are in love, ready to move in together.
I'm not sure what I expected, but this wasn't for me. I need more angst in my books.
The writing was good and there are some pretty hot scenes, but overall I can't say this one was a remarkable story. If you're into sweet and light stories, maybe it will work better for you.

It felt too long and to be honest, nothing really happened for many, many chapters. I mean, nothing important happened between the main characters! I was in for Yugo and Kuon, and they circled each other most of the story.
Yugo is different here, he's not as pushy as before or as I would have wanted him to be. It was like reading about two new characters... they didn't even remind me of the MC's in the first book.
For some reasons I kept reading. I was curious about their future. I just hope the next book will give us more, as this one felt pretty slow and not as hot as the other books in this series.

I'm diving right now into book #2 because I am dying to get more!!! This is a great dark series, with a lot of violence and cruelty, but what I enjoy here the most is the connection between the MCs. Am I twisted? Definitely. Do I care? Nope!...more
