I liked this almost as much as In the Woods and much more than the other books in the series. The high school drama is intense--much sharper than The Fever in its portrayal of 21st century Crucible-style plotlines. I doubt (hope??) that teenagers use the word "amazeballs" as much as the kids in this do (French nails the graduate students' voices in In the Woods in a way that rings truer), but then again I'm not really sure what rich boarding school girls say in their texts......more
