All the Noise at Once expertly explores topics such as ableism, social justice, racism and brotherhood through the eyes of Aiden, an autistic Black teen, whose strong voice is both endearing and memorable. This is a book that will make you angry, whilst simultaneously pulling at your heartstrings with moments of warmth. It’s nuanced, honest and beautifully compassionate and a book I will be happily recommending.

This very much felt like a vibe driven book and although the vibes were great and I liked the characters, overall it unfortunately just didn’t do enough for me to feel entirely invested. I think I just wanted more from the relationships and plot, especially when it came to the powers the siblings had. I have a feeling a lot of people will love this book and I can totally see its merit but unfortunately it was a middle ground read for me. Enjoyable enough but not particularly outstanding.

With its small town setting and slow burn, frenemies to lovers romance, as well as a fun twist on the single dad trope, Wild Love ticked all my boxes. The chemistry and banter between Ford and Rosie was everything. It was funny and sweet and warm but also just so much fun. I adored both of their characters and POV’s, as well as the side cast and their individual relationships. This was silly and sweet and definitely one of my favourite Elsie Silver books to date.

I absolutely adored this ray of sunshine of a book. It was endearing, wholesome and just so incredibly heartwarming. I adored the cast of characters (the kids were the stars for me) and thought Millie and Finn’s relationship was gorgeously written (he buys her a kitchen aid and I just is there anything more perfect?). I also thought the explorations of grief, mental health, toxic family dynamics and abusive relationships were really well done.
All in all, this was a really lovely reading experience and I’m already incredibly excited to read the next book in this series because I had such a good time with this.
