I would not be exaggerating if I said that I literally inhaled this as soon as I 1 clicked it.
This is the continuation from Dirty Lovely Broken where I would not be exaggerating if I said that I literally inhaled this as soon as I 1 clicked it.
This is the continuation from Dirty Lovely Broken where the King find's out Maari's secret and comes in to confront her with his brothers. Like a previous reviewer here mentioned, she burst their bubble, specially when they though they were in control. Needless to say I was not disappointed. I LOVED that Maari did not give into these hunks and kept fighting tooth and nail for her freedom. I loved how the story flowed with not one dull moment and keeping us tense as to what our Hero's would do next. The Story ends with another soft Cliffhanger. I don't feel this often but if Ms Chandler decides to stretch it to another 2 books I would gladly devour them.
Hoping we wouldn't have to wait too long for book 3.

I am usually not a Scifi reader and this is my first book by Emmy Chandler but boy was I blown away with this one. Dirty Lovely Broken had nearly all the elements I love in a book. A well rounded engaging plot that kept me intrigued and guessing. Well developed characters with different personalities and I really like the heroine Maari. She was easy to empathize and relate to considering the situation she was in.
As part of a peace treaty, Maari who is a princess of Stead Delayne is given to Jude, the King of Stead Camden as a concubine to be used and bred by the king & his brothers. I didn't read too many reviews on this book and I'm glad that I did as it took me by surprise as how well written this was, specially for a Reverse Harem.
Highly recommend this book for anyone who like me loves a good book which gives you all the feels....more

Usual DP asshat males finding their love match. This was just ok for me. The hero needed to grovel more and didn¡¯t like the underlining theme of taming of the shrew. Just putting it out there that I HATE Shakespeare! I¡¯m probably the only one who thinks that most of his plays tend to degenerate women morally. Although this has nothing to do with this story except for the concept....more

Just my kinda romance. I quite enjoyed the push & pull dynamic between the H and h. The reason for the the loss of 1 Star is for the heroine and the dragged on lengthy ness at the end of the book (just didn¡¯t find the need for it and skimmed a fair bit). The heroine was at times just plain exasperating I could¡¯ve given her a good spanking myself! There was quite a few misunderstanding and as a result of their egos rubbing up acting out like children but overall it was a good read. I liked the hero very much. His single minded pursuit for the heroine although at times I didn¡¯t think she deserved it.
The plot revolves around the history Waterloo battle with Napoleon so we get a feel or real life characters like Earl of Uxbridge, Duke of Wellington and the chaotic situations people of both upper and middle classes had to go through. This book certainly does not warrant the number of 1-2 stars that have been given by other readers and hope that like minded people will come across this hidden gem.
The hero, although was fairly forceful in his attentions to the heroine, there was never a doubt in the book that he did not love her even when she was being immature.
