It's short but definitely a brain teaser of a story and needs 100% attention on reading. I found some places slightly hard to comprehend due to divide between the dreamlike and reality. There is plenty mention of Cabals, tiers and follicles. Shifting through the surreal and reality in an intelligent labyrinth of bizarre and fantastical other states of being.
A trespasser in Long Lofting In a far away land villagers of Long Lofting witness a demon fall from the skies. Some claim it to be a dragon and wish to eat it but others believe it to be a Demon and all is to soon to find out its true form. But is it too late for the villagers? Very soon the village women folk will be in a deep stupor of wanting for its grand attribute. Will the village men safe guard all? This novella is written in an easy flowing fashion of creativity and quite entertaining. I preferred this story out of the two due to its easiness to comprehend. ...more

2333 December 19th Alas this is a fine work from a writer of bygone times and if he could only discover his vision and writings of Time Travel were in fact prophecies and became true. As I have indeed traveled to 802,701AD and meet the lovely Weena a female Eloi and the dreadful Morlocks. The Time Machine he speaks of was made in the year 2222 but something even greater is in my possession much smaller and highly efficient the 'iFuture' watch is now the tool of Time travel it will revolutionize the whole time travel experience I have just finished the prototype and tested it. Infact I only wish Wells could tell of the year of 2666 the year of the undead, Zombies tread upon the earth society in mayhem and only few survivors to walk upon the land. I had indeed a purpose there and brought in time with me the virus to end the undead pandemic. Time Travel is indeed mans greatest invention and in the wrong hands mans worst nightmare and in the right hands a shining light of glory from darkness. This story is a grand work written in wonderful prose that has a deep thought provoking effectiveness on the reader. The vision of the future is indeed frightening especially his account of the end of life on earth. H G Wells is a writer of high intelligence, a grand thinker.
Time Travel is an entertaining genre to write about, the success of the 11.22.63 by Stephen King and movies like Back to the Future, The Time Machine and Planet of The Apes prove that.

This main protagonist Grey has had a hard start to life, he was one of the ones that could not go bide by the system a rebel by nature and byproduct of a dysfunctional upbringing . He feels right through the story that's his life has not quite turned out as good as his pal Pax and feels he has not done enough for his sister like friend Elle. They have parted their ways over the years due to problems and a sudden visit from Elle in despair rockets his life into desperate measures of retribution to those that done her wrong. But was she to blame? She's in an ever decreasing plight of trouble riddled by Drugs, prostitution and the porn industry. He tries to piece her life together as he tracks her down and takes you through the seedy side of acting. This story was a page turning struggle of individuals, fame and infamy whom you might never know about that live over that picket fence. Splendid stuff.
"He'd lost his family, been abused by foster parents, kicked out of school, booted out of the Army, had nothing of value except the car, couldn't hold a steady job and worked temp labor wasting his days waiting for something to happen. He wondered if this was it."

Knowledge of his fortunate second chance on life is getting around and he’s becoming a legend, others are in search of his secret of eternal youth and his blood. Entereth the man, with an axe to hand, Matt Cahill to Dry Wells a small town sparkling in the shadows like a forlorn jewel. Is Mr Dark here? Like hell he is! And soon Matt will be against Mr Dark’s new recruits to his evil cause, a band of mercenary soldiers possessed by the evil powers of Mr Dark. These stories of Matt Cahill with his new life and his battles against Mr Dark have been written by various authors from the first episode and this one number six is a healthy thrill ride of axe slaying shotgun pumping cowboy style drama. I was giving up on the Mat Cahill adventures; until I heard that this episode was in the capable hands of Harry Shannon I urgently shot it to the front of my reading pile. He is the writer who created the character of one strikingly hot lady in a white wedding dress and a shotgun to hand in the zombie story The Hungry.
“He was alone in a huge trailer parked out in the desert, guarded by mercenary soldiers recruited in the cause of evil. Everyone thought he’d left town. The rancher he’d visited was dead, and perhaps Matt would be blamed for the murder. As for any chance of rescue, no one even knew he was here. Only one thing was certain. Matt was in deep, deep shit.
Throughout the 1980s, the highest priority of Seattle-area police was the apprehension of the Green River Killer, the man responsible for the murders Throughout the 1980s, the highest priority of Seattle-area police was the apprehension of the Green River Killer, the man responsible for the murders of dozens of women. In 1990, with the body count numbering at least forty-eight, the case was put in the hands of a single detective, Tom Jensen. After twenty years, when the killer was finally captured with the help of DNA technology, Jensen spent 180 days interviewing Gary Leon Ridgway in an effort to learn his most closely held secrets--an epic confrontation with evil that proved as disturbing and surreal as can be imagined.
Written by Jensen's own son, acclaimed entertainment writer Jeff Jensen, Green River Killer: A True Detective Story presents the ultimate insider's account of America's most prolific serial killer.
They say a picture paints a thousand words, well a Chinese proverb states "One picture is worth ten thousand words." Certainly with drawings covering the murder investigation, this is one that will stay in a portion of your thought process for some time. It's has black and white drawings basic artwork and not one for excellence in artwork but a dark true story of the search for truth for one cop that takes up most of his career time. His persistence pays off and truth prevails. ...more

The Good, The Bad and the Ugly an infamous trio the three amigos and the three stooges funny trios.
When it comes to threesome there are many.
One trio you will soon be taking note of are the likes of Ben, Chon and the wonderful O or her real name Ophelia, in this Drug cartel solid thriller from Don Winslow. The story is about lucrative money making with a specially brewed drug herb that the trio or really Ben and Chon deal and solely profit from. Others want a cut of this market and Ben and Chon are just not having it. They have more than enough money and want to get out of the drug world and retire on sunnier sands. As always with a woman involved matters can get personal and you are taken to the knife-edge of showdowns. The boys need to have their killing skills at full capacity to keep what they love. The other big boy in the drug cartel is really one big girl Elena the last line of a drug mafia family who is just as brutal as any man. She also has something precious in the swing of matters a daughter Paqu.
I just discovered that this highly charged full throttle drama is to be released as a movie in 2012 directed by Oliver Stone and has a full cast of good actors with Pulp fiction team Travolta and Thurman acting the part of Dennis and Paqu. It will make one hell of a movie, I heard Oliver stone was writing the screenplay before the book was published. Another of Winslow’s books that I hope to read soon that is to be adapted is Satori and will have Di Caprio starring in it.
The novel is written with the right pace and flows well, easy to read not a mind storm to get through, I cant fault it at all. There is, for those who would like to know, plenty of dark humour and explicit situations. You do get to learn a lot about cannabis in this novel. What that really makes it so good are the characters Don has created and the trio that will forever be a bond to remember. You will take away a lesson on savagery and savages from this story and oh yes how to make, Mucho Dinero.
There is a good Profile video done by OpenRoadMediaVideos found on my website
“O knows that Chon is seriously twisted-no, she knows Chon is seriously twisted-but not like day-old-spaghetti-in-a-bowl twisted, like getting off on guys getting their heads lopped off, like that tv show about the British king, every cute chick he f**** ends up getting her head cut off.
“Ben is a self-described Baddhist, i.e., a ‘bad Buddhist, because he sometimes eats meat, gets angry, rarely meditates, and definitely does consciousness-altering substances. But the basics of Buddhism, Ben is down with- Do no harm. Which Ben articulates as Don’t f*** with people. And he doesn’t think the Dalai Lama would argue with that.
“They became almost cult like figures. There developed such a devoted following with such a religious loyalty that they even gave themselves a name. The Church of the Lighter Day Saints.
“Elena knows that love makes you strong And love makes you weak. Love makes you vulnerable. So if you have enemies Take what they love.
“Chon has always known that there are two worlds: The savage The less savage. The savage is the world of pure raw power, survival of the fittest, drug cartels and death squads, dictators and strongmen, terrorist attacks, gang wars, tribal hatreds, mass murder, mass rape. The less savage is the world of pure civilized power, governments and armies, multinationals and banks, oil companies, shock-and-awe, death-from-the-sky, genocide, mass economic rape. And Chon knows- They’re the same world.
“Chon like shooting guns. He likes the feel of metal in his hands, the kick, the blowback, the precision of chemistry, physics, and engineering mixed with hand-eye coordination. Not to mention power-shooting a gun projects your personal will across time and space in a flash. I want to hit that and that is hit. Straight from your mind to the physical world. Talk about your PowerPoint presentations.
