So from the people Iv spoken to there seems to be a 'you love it or hate it' scenario going on with this book. Admittedly the people Iv spoken to are my two grandmas, my mum and my aunty (not making myself sound very popular here I know) so not a great range, but I definatley got the impression that Niffenegger did a bit of a Moses with this one. Personally, I didn't persist with it long enough to swing either way (is it immature that I can't write that without thinking of the bisexual reference?!) but only long enough to get completley confused about who was how old at what time and in what place. Maybe affore-mentioned immaturity has something to do with this and I just needed to grow up a bit and invest more time. I decided not to do the grown up thing though and to watch the film instead. Loved it but I never seem to be able to read the book after seeing the film and so I decided not to even try with this one seeing as I couldn't get through it first time round. Very possibly an un-wise book abandon (if there ever are any wise ones)....more
