Every night we read aloud to one another - of course I figured out where the plot was headed before he did and it was neat for me to see his reaction when he finally got it. I really think this book is great for older kids and it was wonderful to see how interested my son became about WWII history because of it. Had I read it alone maybe my rating would be different, but then again who knows? My experience was wonderfully vicarious through the eyes of my eleven-year-old. I am looking forward to reading it with my other children when they are old enough to appreciate it. ...more

He discusses bullies, were not to sit in class, and the embarrassment of changing for PE. This book is great clean fun! The illustrations are hysterical! This book is certainly entertaining for all ages and an easy read. Would highly recommend it to any kid who dislikes reading b/c after reading this they will be hooked!...more
