Here are my thoughts on what I did read. The gender aspect is over explained and also comes off weird (to me) in the middle of the book. CMQ’s fans will be more savvy about gender norms and identity and it’s shown well, so I don’t see why the readers need a full explanation.
The travel part of this book is falling all over itself. It’s hard to follow and not fully realized but also over written and boring. How many times can we talk about pastries?!?!
I dunno, will they won’t they/exes getting back together just isn’t for me. Also both Kit and Theo are exalted to each other but for me as a reader I don’t understand why.
I do like that CMQ does fully realize personalities for her characters. I feel like I know Kit and Theo and they have a full back story. I just didn’t relate to them or care about them. I did like Theo’s swanky cocktail bus tho. lol. ...more

Couldn’t get into this book. There were too many competing perspectives and as soon as I got into one it would change to another and for that reason ICouldn’t get into this book.
