Perhaps this book was better suited to its time, or a different audience, but it just didn't grip me. Holden doesn't make an appealing protagonist, in fact he's annoying and whiney! I gave up reading a few chapters in, as it's also pretty slow moving. Maybe I'll give it another shot soon but from what I can tell, this seems to be one of the most overrated books ever....more
