STORY: WHAT I LIKED: I really enjoyed the first 50% of the story. The build up was very intriguing to me. The way Alexius and Leandra met, waiting on her reply to his mysterious deal and thrust into this new world. Alexius gave me intense mix with rude and sexy. Leandra gave me, terrified inside, but stood up to Alexius when she needed to. This dynamic made me me excited and I felt that great need to know what will happen next. The dark aspect /content would definitely be the graphic killings as well as Leandra’s pass as a child.
WHAT WAS SO SO: After the first 50% and the wedding, I felt everything happened so fast thereafter. Also, I was not in love with the dynamics that Alexius and Leandra created after. For me, Leandra did not seem like the same person that I met in the beginning of the book. Her character is suppose to evolve and she did, but it was a little off for me. It’s like she got married and the next day it was a switch that was flipped. Don’t get me wrong, I still liked the story, but, it felt too easy after the wedding and because Leandra gave in so quickly, a tiny bit of me lost interest in her. Her fight to me was just really about the sex. There wasn’t enough build up after the wedding and all the changes that were happening between them after the wedding, did not feel authentic. The build up leading to them meeting and the arrangement, good. The build up after the arrangement was settle, so so.
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY I like the sex scenes. I wanted to enjoy Alexius and Leandra some more before sharing. There is a MFM scene.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS: I found the brothers to be very interesting and they like to share ALOT. Nicoli, Isaia, Caelian and even Maximo. I like the way the author tickles your interest with the chemistry between Nicoli and Mirabella. I am interested to see how that plays out. The story is a cliffhanger.
OVERALL: Was I entertained? Yes, but not fully. Did I like the story? Yes. Would I read the other books in the series? I would want to read Nicoli’s story more.
****I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. STORY: What I Like: My review is for Damaged Hearts. I found myself falling for Felix. Throughout the story, I live the way he cared for Julie.
What Is So So: I did not read Violent Beginnings, so I am clueless about Fallon and Markus story as they were brief characters in Damaged Hearts. I assume a little of their story is linked to the beginning of Julie’s story. Julie’s POV in the beginning was gut wrenching and very graphic. For a short story, it was too much to digest in a short read, because I felt as though she was the one who pushed consistently for sexual contact with Felix and that was odd considering her trauma. I felt as though the story started in the middle as I have no backstory on either character. I don’t even know what or who Felix is hiding from. I felt a bit lost with this one. The good thing is the author will make this a full length book so this should get better for me.
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY: Between Felix and Julie, I thought it was sweet.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS: There is no one there that stood out. Markus and Fallon was briefly included.
OVERALL: Was I entertained? No really Did I like the story? Yes and No If a series, would I read/continue with the other books in the series,? Not sure.
TRIGGERS: violence, graphic rape scene

It has Daddy in the titles but that shouldn’t scare you off and it’s not hardcore BDSM or Daddy Kink. There is action and the plot continues on with each book. Would recommend to dark readers who does have a limit to what they like.
BOOK 1 4⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Style: Dark Mafia Romance Story: 3/5 Enjoyment: 4/5 Dark Level: 3/5 Sexual Level: D.R.I.P(Don’t Read In Public)/Dark Triggers: Yes Violence: Yes Male: Sexy, Dominant & Controlling Series: Book 1 Pages: 227 Audio: N/A Kindle Unlimited: Yes
STORY: Soooooooooo...... this will not be for everyone. I’m new to this author with 3 books in. What to expect with her books, dirty sex, rough sex, dirty talk, dark intense alpha, vulnerable heroine mix with some mafia activity.
Cruel Daddy lived up to the title. Meeting Milo, I think he was an a**hole and jerk. He was cruel and his treatment of Aida was not the best in the beginning. I feel the focus on both Aida and Milo was very sexual,, but we got a bit of action in the beginning and towards the end. The climax of the story, the author gave us a bit more action. That was engaging because it was a rescue mission. Milo is dark, dominant and very intense. Aida seems sweet but very disobedient and is a spit fire. So you can just imagine the pull and tug between these two.
CHEMISTRY: The plot is not only dark but the sexual content as well. This was not your basic vanilla sex. Dark as in the way they were sexually, as dark for others could mean different things. Rough sex, dirty talk, force intimacy is included as this was in the realm of Dom/sub with controlling. I feel as though I have bruises on my body after reading this book. That’s how intense they get. This has BDSM adjacent content. So be warned and make sure you are ok with the sexual nature and content before diving in.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS Piero - I hope he is ok, didn’t know what happen to him after everything went down. He is Milo’s capo and right-hand man.
Malachy - I see he will be in book 2 Savage Daddy. After meeting him in book 1 and from the title of book 2, I’m nervous and worried for his female character. This should be interesting.
Gia - one of Aida’s best friend. To the author, are you going to do what I think you’re going to do with Gia? Smh, if you are, interesting to see how it will play out.
Overall, dark and could be sexually pleasing depending on the reader with a bit of action. Had a few raised eyebrow moments, but I was here for the ride and enjoyed it.

STORY: I was eagerly awaiting Malachy’s story and I have to tell you, based on his introduction in book one, I thought he was a bit tame towards Scarlett most of the time (don’t judge me haha). It doesn’t mean I didn’t like their story because I did.
I get weak in the knees for virgins at auctions in need of money themes, and I love how this was done. Scarlett needed money to take care of her mother’s medical bills, enters virgin auction. Said auction, Malachy turns to mush the moment he sees Scarlett, enters a ridiculous amount of money paid for said virgin. Malachy was still a savage, especially towards any he deems a threat. With Scarlett, yes, he got a bit rough, but it’s not the same intensity I’ve seen him with others. He became possessive with Scarlett and refuse to let her go. Scarlett, I liked her. Her timidness compliments Malachy intensity with giving me a good read with their chemistry. We got some mafia action as well, and I enjoyed that the storyline from book 1 continues. I recommend reading book 1 as this will also connect with upcoming Book 3 in regard to characters.
CHEMISTRY: Sexually, I can say I was satisfied with both Malachy and Scarlett. Malachy is dominant in the bedroom and it comes across. They do have their Daddy Dom theme, which I am not a fan of most of the times, but I really enjoy the way this author does it in her mafia stories. It’s not over powering that it turns you off from their scenes sex-capades.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS: Milo and Aida made a few appearances and it was a little exciting seeing Malachy’s and Milo’s feud carried over.
Alicia - Malachy’s sister. I found her to be interesting. I wonder if we will see her again.
Niall - Malachy’s right hand man. Liked him even though I know he won’t have his own story.
Mikhail - Russian Mafia. Look forward to getting to know him more and his story.
OVERALL, I liked book two although I felt Malachy was a bit tame with Scarlett to me not everyone else. He was still dark and intense but expected more. Nevertheless, this did not stop me from enjoying the book.
✰✰TRIGGERS: Violence and talks of child abuse/ molestation.

STORY: The beginning of Ruthless Daddy overlaps with book one. We saw what lead to Fabio arranging his daughter, Aida, to be married to Milo. The author revisited their moment on the cliff as well, and we got to see things from Fabio’s POV. I admit, didn’t care for Fabio in book one, because he seemed cold and unfeeling, but now I have a better understanding as to why.
So, I can do age gap, but not a fan of huge age gaps. However, I have to say, Fabio is definitely a silver Fox Zaddy and a DILF. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but by far, Fabio was the sexiest read for me compared to Milo from book one and Malachy from book two. At first, I wasn’t sure about Fabio, because he came off a little too nice, but you saw when he wants something he is taking it. He is 49 and Gia is 21 and their chemistry was built on anxiety and excitement. Definitely that forbidden aspect of the story and not wanting to get caught gave me that adrenaline while reading. Gia, she was a little feisty. Strong one moment and weak the next. Personally, for me, I felt that gave me a good read with a pull and tug between the characters. Fabio was so consumed with Gia and it showed. He got a little too crazy with the private jet scene and traveling to Boston.
There was definitely a bit of mafia action that got a little exciting. Also, apart from the beginning of the story, there were other incidents that overlaps with book one. I do feel that all 3 books in some way weaves into each other. The best experience is reading each book in the series.
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY: I can not speak for anyone else, but I love the way this author does her sex scenes. Fabio was like a damn energizer bunny, he kept going and going. You really got the sense that he could not get enough of Gia. His sexual chemistry mix with his possessiveness intensifies their scenes for me. Love the flower shop scene.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS: Aida and Milo - They are from book one. Fabio’s daughter and son-in-law. Also, Gia’s best friend.
Siena - Gia’s and Aida’s best friend. I felt bad she was so in the dark. I wish the Epilogue did mention her. I was a little curious.
I don’t think anyone really stood out to me in this book. I would say Lorenzo, Fabio’s right hand man but meh, not sure how I felt about him.
OVERALL I am still enjoying this series a lot. I did not think I would fancy it as much with a huge age gap, but I found Fabio very appealing. Also, I am glad to see Alicia’s story will be next in the series. In my last review for this series, I noted she stood out to me, and I’m excited to see how her story with Niall will play out.
BOOK 4 3⭐️⭐️⭐️

STORY: I am in love with this series, and I am glad to be invested in it based on my preference and what I look for in certain books. All books are connected with characters and storyline that overlaps in some way with each book within the series.
With that being said, I adore Niall’s and Alicia’s story. Niall’s obsession of Alicia finally pops open the flood gates of his passion and sex drive for her, unbeknownst to Alicia. Alicia has always noticed Niall, but after a particular incident, she can’t stop thinking about Niall. I love, like the other previous books, that Niall’s and Alicia’s story overlaps with events from book two, Savage Daddy. So we get to see Malachy and Scar and certain interactions from their story.
As much as I like Niall and Alicia, I found their story to be ok. It was still spicy and sexy, however; I didn’t find Niall’s character to be of the same traits of the other male characters of this series. For me, he was too nice for this series, (don’t judge me y’all hahah) and that’s more of a me thing.
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY: I enjoyed Niall’s and Alicia’s sex scenes. The need to keep their affair a secret made it a little more exciting. Their daddy dom theme wasn’t heavily done as it was very mild.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS: No one really stood out to me or at least no one new. I enjoy as always seeing Milo and Adia. Enzo, not sure if he was a new character or one from the author’s previous series. He has potential.
I didn’t expect Siena would have her own story, but reading the blurb to Wicked Daddy and seeing it’s with Mikhail, I am even more excited. Siena is from book 1 and 3, but more seen in book 3. She is one of Aida’s best friend. Mikhail, we saw his presence in book 2.
OVERALL: Likable and sweet story for me, but was not in love.
BOOK 5 4⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Style: Dark Mafia Romance Story: 3.90/5 Enjoyment: 4/5 Dark Level: 2/5 Sexual Level: D.R.I.P (Don’t Read In Public) Triggers: Yes Violence: Yes Male: Mafia Boss, Alpha, Sexy Series: book 5 Pages: loc. 3316 Audio: N/A Kindle Unlimited: Yes
STORY: I enjoyed this immensely for so many reasons *smirking*. I need to dissect this review based on the first 60% of the book and the remaining 40%.
With this being the final book in the series, it ended good for me personally, as I can only speak for myself. Mikhail was introduced to us in book 2 and Siena is in books 1 and 3, but is more seen in book 3. Mikhail’s team kidnapped the wrong woman and presented her to Mikhail. Once Mikhail saw Siena, his possessive, caveman mix with alpha side kicked in. Although Siena was not his intended target, Mikhail uses that opportunity to take whatever, whenever.
So the first 60% of the book we saw how dangerous Mikhail could be, and it was also filled with his uncontrollable need for Siena. They had sex like crazy. At least it felt that way to me (definitely not complaining). The secondary plot of the story was still laying in wait as the author continue to develop the chemistry between Mikhail and Siena. The remaining 40% brought out the secondary plot, which presented more activity with the mafia and alliances forming.
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY: So I did give this a D.R.I.P rating because, babeeeeeeee, Mikhail is ferocious sexually with his constant need to take Siena whenever and wherever. Some may think too much sex, others may think one particular scene was a little eewl, but I think you should know what to expect from this author if you’ve read her books before. If you haven’t, this isn’t vanilla, but more the intensity of the act. Although the whole series has a Daddy theme, Mikhail and Siena did not heavily do this and it really did not have any BDSM like tendencies.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS: I really think this series should be read in order, as each character in some way crosses over to the next book, and they are all connected in some way. By saying this, Mikhail’s involvement with Milo and Malachy comes in handy with knowing who they are throughout the series.
Mikhail’s family, I really liked his sister Natalya. His other sister Yama, so so. Mikhail’s mother, wishful thinking and I know the author probably won’t do this, but I wish there was a novella on the parents. His father kidnapped his mother, would so read that.
OVERALL: I love Mikhail’s intensity and his sexual appetite in this book. A good read to close out this series.
TRIGGERS: graphic violence, attempted sexual assault, captive, kidnapping and blood play-ish scene.

STORY: What I Like: Whelp….some of you might need therapy after this book. Don't judge me for liking this book because it's times like this that I need my head examin. It’s basically forced everythingggggggg with the darkness predominately being sexual with a dash of a traumatic past. The last two books previously written in the series before Dark Crown was light dark, so I think the author was saving that very dark juice for Adrik. I have read worst with dark contents, but, this book is still triggering and is up there with dark contents.
With this being a force/captive marriage, the author kept the characters in the same mindset of a push and pull for most of the story, breaking down a barrier each time between both characters. Eliza is forced at gunpoint to marry Adrik, and if you’ve kept up with this series, Adrik throughout most of the series is a distant cousin of evil. A thorn in everyone’s side. With Adrik being the villain and possessive it was interesting to see his internal battle at times. Do I approve of everything he did, Nooooooooooo, but did it add to the story, yes, especially if you are a lover of dark romance.
Eliza was going through it. Between her family and Adrik, I’m surprised she didn’t have a nervous breakdown. I love that she was very much aware of her surroundings and always perceptive. She fought with Adrik, and I like that it was just right and wasn’t overly done.
What Is So So: Not even going to lie, with Adrik killing Eliza’s father in front of her still so fresh, I’m surprised she didn’t put up more of a fight with the daddy kink. I can’t say too much as I don’t want to give away the climax of the story, but I wanted to know what happen a little bit more to Eliza’s brothers.
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY: I can strongly say the non con and forced intimacy is wrapped in caution tape and the reader should proceed at your own risk. Especially if you feel you might be offended by the way dark non con scenes are. There is a lot of throat grabbing and the blood play is crazy. As time goes on even Eliza, questions her sanity with liking some of of these acts. These two became intense so be prepared.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS: With this author, it’s the teasing of other characters. Sometimes that’s what keeps dragging me back in to the other series. Lila, who you met briefly in Cruel Bully SA and is Eliza’s sister, she had a little situation with Luca Morrone. For a minute I wish I could pause Eliza and Adrik’s story and say go back to her and Luca what’s going on here. I’m ready for what’s to come there. We saw familiar faces from the series as all the families came together against Adrik. So it was nice to see some of the characters again.
OVERALL: Was I entertained? Yes Did I like the story? Yes If a series, would I read/continue with the other books in the series,? Yes, but this is the final book in the series.
TRIGGERS: Graphic killing, rape, childhood trauma from assault, non con, forced intimacy, captive
NOTES: Virgin heroine, no ow/om drama, sexual blood play, little daddy kink, little breeding kink

STORY: What I Like: I adore the manner in which the author develops her story and her characters. This series has come a long way and watching as the plots and storylines comes to life with each character. Screwy is the silent guy and it's because of his past because he literally says nothing and only talks to his brother. He's a nice guy with Lydia, but more the cranky silent guy around other people.
This story draws us into human trafficking/auctions and women in training to please their future master. Screwy is preparing to rescue this woman he has never met, thus launching the story of Lydia and Screwy. The dynamic between the two figures was interesting because Lydia is still in a master/submissive mentality and is very vulnerable. Screwy is attracted to Lydia, but fights with himself constantly to do the right thing and bring her to her family. If you are familiar with this series and the author’s writing style, you know what to expect. I personally like the way she brings the story to life and it is very inviting the way she pulls you in.
What Is So So: I really appreciated the story, however, for this couple, I wasn't a fan of their sexual chemistry all the time. The build-up was good, because Lydia's background sets the pace for their chemistry. I believe it could have been more once it exploded. It's not erotic, but I sensed that their full potential was not reached for me personally.
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY: The build up was appealing and their sex scenes weren’t bad, I just wanted so much more. I sound like an oxymoron because their scenes of physical intimacy correspond to their personalities, however, as time passed, I needed more.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS: I never had a problem with the secondary characters in this series. Couples from the past are always very relevant to the current plot and this is one of the things that makes me return.
OVERALL: Was I entertained? Yes Did I like the story? Yes If a series, would I read/continue with the other books in the series,? Yes
TRIGGERS: Lydia’s past while being held captive and trained. Mentioned of group assault/rape from previous book.
NOTES: Virgin heroine, no cheating

STORY: WHAT I LIKED: I’ve been reading the Chicago Mafia Don series by the author which is current and has one book remaining to be release. Reading this series, I think I complained and I had a small tantrum to get something from the (SA) Syndicate Academy. I got it and I was not disappointed. I’ve started reading this author’s last two series recently, so for the SA series, my excitement stems from the characters in this series, as they are in some way connected to someone within the last 2 series. Familiarity is part of what excites me.
Book 2 merges with Book 1 as certain scenes may seem familiar. Elias belongs to the cartel mafia, while Natalya belongs to the Russian mafia. I thought Elias was straight savage in the beginning of this story. He's been bullying Natalya for the last 5 years. Their final and 6th year in the SA, he upped the ante by blackmailing her sexually, which still was bullying verbally and physically. I like that the blackmail had a long lifespan for half the book as it was fueling Elias to get whatever he wanted form Natalya. Over time we started seeing Elias feelings change for Natalya and it morphs in to obsession mixed with possessiveness and an addiction he was not able to control. Natalya, loved her in book 1 and she was still likable. Her innocence and submissiveness was appealing and was a good combo when interacting with Elias dominating personality. Her quick decision in the story in regards to Finn was questionable, like girl, ummm, noooooooooooo.
This was dark, but definitely dark leaning more to the bullying the way it was done. This could offend some so be mindful and the forced intimacy may not be pleasing to all so know your limits as it’s not your typical Romeo and Juliet romance.
WHAT WAS SO SO: I really didn’t find myself having any issues. It was read in one sitting and I personally enjoyed it, especially if you are looking for certain things when choosing dark books:
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY Can we have a moment of silence for the sex-capades in this one………………………..……..ok, for a moment, and only a quick moment, I thought Elias and Natalya put these adults to shame. I gave them a sex rating of D.R.I.P. as it’s not anything special but it’s the way it was done. I would classify Natalya as a masochist, someone who gets off and finds pleasure from degrading and submissiveness, but not hardcore. There was throat grabbing, forced intimacy, dirty talk, a bit of roughness and some degrading action. This story was filled with sex scenes, but I did not find the plot lacking if you are familiar with the author’s other series.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS: Love the besties Eva, Camilla, Adrianna and even Giorgia. Camilla is next and I’m excited for that. I like Rizzo, Elias friend, hoping to see something with him, don’t want to say with who. Coach Daniels, he will be paired with one of the girls. I have one word for him, THIRSTY. Lila, Elias cousin, she didn’t have a big role but she should be paired with Nik.
OVERALL: Was I entertained? Yes Did I like the story? Yes Would I read the other books in the series? Yes, still want to.

STORY: WHAT I LIKED: Darkness and intensity. I love the beginning of the story, especially the first fifty percent. It caught my interest and gave me a little excitement. My 3 stars is still likable but with a few bumps in the road. Dark readers, with Lucas, you are getting the jerk, stoic, and intense alpha. This is apart of his allure when dealing with Delilah that may excite the reader if you are a lover of dark read.
WHAT WAS SO SO: I had mixed emotions After 50% of the story. Dalila's character was exceedingly naïve. I think that was part of the allure of her character. I could not connect with her sometimes and I happened to not care about her in some sections of the story. Lucas's character, although intense, I didn't understand him so much as well. He spoke a little about his past, but I did not quite understand what nourished his dark side. His character is presented more for shock value. This was a principal/student age gap story and the age gap truly affected my experience. The story gave me most of the elements I wanted in a dark romance on the surface, but pulling all the layers back, it still felt like something was missing. Mainly why I happened to lose interest after 50% of the story, I felt as if I was stuck in the same scene but on different pages from different angles. It was repetitive in a way and I wanted to get out of the same song and dance Delilah and Lucas were still playing. I sound like an oxymoron, but I get the concept of the theme between Delilah and Lucas, but it dragged on. With feeling this way, I knew it was going to be a cliffhanger. (I tried to explain the best I could without spoiling)
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY Their sex scenes could sometimes become intense as a result of the theme between the main characters. Throat grabbing, force intimacy and more. If you are familiar with this duo, you know what to expect.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS: You should definitely familiarize yourself with the first 3 books in the series. The story picks up from book 3 with the aftermath of all that has taken place. Quinton and Aspen still have a strong presence in this story, mainly Aspen.
OVERALL: Was I entertained? Yes Did I like the story? Yes Would I read/continue the other books in the series? Not sure.
TRIGGERS: violence, sexual triggers which includes punishment sex.
NOTES: No ow/om intimacy, no cheating, age gap 19-unknown and taboo relationship.

STORY: WHAT I LIKED: Spartak was a very dark person. The past and the present keep making him who he is. You got Alphas and then you got cavemen, Spartak goes under caveman. Him wanting Imalia was intense. Imalia, as strong as she was, was definitely wishy washy as in no no yes yes. Like the author's stories, the romance aspect dominates the beginning and the latter have the mafia/intrigue aspect take over.
WHAT WAS SO SO: The story, though not a novella/insta rom still felt fast pace and quick the way their connection/chemistry developed. This part is a me thing, I read another book by the author with the age gap didn’t really bother me, this one, age gap was ok. Age gaps are a hit or miss for me and sometimes it depends for me how big the gap is as I don’t like them that big. I am glad though that the Imalia is 26 and not 18.
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY The author is out there when it comes to her sex scenes. In some crazy way, it’s like you look forward to what craziness the characters will do during those scenes. No issues there for me personally, as I know what to expect from the author.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS: The author always has interesting characters. I liked that she uses the characters in each both. It builds an anticipation when waiting on the next character’s story/book. Camillia, Mia Maxim (in this story, not a fan of Maxim, but I get him as well). So many more that makes up this series.
OVERALL: Was I entertained? Yes Did I like the story? Yes Would I read the other books in the series? Yes!!
TRIGGERS: violence, childhood sexual abuse and mention of rape.
NOTES: No ow/om intimacy, no cheating, age gap 26-46, consensual non consent rape play mentioned.

Style: Dark Crime Family Romance Story: 4/5 Enjoyment: 4/5 Dark Level: 4/5 Sexual Level: GOOD Triggers: Yes (EXTREME) Violence: Yes Male: Raf (Redeemable) Michele (?) Series: Book 1 of 2 (Cliffy) Pages: 900+ Audio: N/A Kindle Unlimited:
This is a branch off from the Morally Questionable series. There are characters from that series that are at play. Said series, is also where we first met Raf. I would say that you can dive into this story, but maybe read Frivolous, if not, you can check out the family tree of the Deville and Guerra clan. With that being said, I’ve said this before, but you have to be a fan of the author’s writing style and the way she constructs her stories when diving in. I think the scales were tipped a lot with the dark content for this one. Read disclaimer noted before opening to first chapter as it should not be taken lightly.
STORY: WHAT I LIKED: A tale of two brothers at war and their hate for each other. The story was mainly focused on RAF, but I love that we were getting POV of both RAF and Michele. It’s slow burn-ish as we are getting a build up from both sides. The story focuses on the revenge because of what Michele did that led to this feud, and the secondary focus was on both females in their life’s.
Michele is giving me sinister vibes. Michele’s triggers are: narcissistic, narcissist abuse, manipulative, grooming, gaslighting (major gaslighting) and violent and probably still missing a few.
He is a very intense character. In the first chapter Michele will turn your stomach with his thoughts and how he views and uses female X. If you make it past the first chapter, congrats, maybe you will be able to deal with his sinister ways as the story progresses, because it gets worst. He is in my top 3 most intense and crazy villains of 2022 so far.
Rafaelo is giving me, I definitely want revenge vibes on all sides. Very scarred as he was sold not once, but twice and he has never been the same. Raf’s character hits a little different for me, because this is someone I’ve come to know from Morally Blasphemous and a little more in Morally Ambiguous. His interactions with Noelle are very interesting, as you will discover, they both have a past that intertwines. Although he wants revenge with regards to Noelle, I liked the way he started doing this with her family around. I found it kind of funny at times as dark as this story was. Noelle, I can not even tell you how strong this female character is for all that was endured. It is going to tear at you and it will be hard.
WHAT WAS SO SO: I did not really have any issues. I will say that I thought in the beginning that we would get a bit of detailed flashback into Noelle and Raf’s past, however, this book can be intense with the content matter that I am glad we were not taken on that ride.
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY I will not even rate or touch Michele for this one. I will only say this, at around 60-ish%, for Michele, be very mentally prepared for what you are about to read. Raf and Noelle they started out not liking each other, but watching their connection grow, I liked it. Especially with their trauma, this was done well.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS: It was good seeing a few faces from MB and MA. It connects with Raf’s past, so no complaints. Also Gianna from Frivolous, it was nice to see how she fits in. The secondary characters helped to keep the story flowing and that’s also a plus. I definitely found Cisco, Noelle’s brother an interesting character individually and when he is around his wife. He gave me hero vibes but low key villain-ish vibes sometimes.
OVERALL: Was I entertained? Yes. Did I like the story? Yes. LONGGGG, but yes. Would I read the other books in the series? Yes.
TRIGGERS: rape (from both sexes) descriptive and talked about, abortion, cruelty, child/infant death, domestic abuse and torture, abuse drugs, drug use, degrading, non con, dub con, etc. I have to stress, the contents gets very dark and really can be triggering, especially if one has experience anything noted in this book, read at your own risk.
NOTES: No cheating

STORY: WHAT I LIKED: I like the way Aspen and Quinton’s story concluded. Although what happen to Aspen in the end of book 2 was sad and bad, it was entertaining seeing Quinton go on a rampage.he went in hulk mode with his revenge. It was interesting how Aspen’s past play out with her family and seeing Quinton’s family coming together to include her. The relationship between Quinton and Aspen grew, although it was still a tiny bit hot and old but only for a moment. I really enjoyed the ending for them.
WHAT WAS SO SO: Book 3 for me, I really did not have any major dislikes. It’s tying up loose ends and I don’t hav that many complaints.
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY Although Aspen had trauma that she endured, I thought the sex scenes after were still satisfactory. Once Aspen and Quinton got back into it, it gradually build and became good.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS: Exciting to see certain people and was more excited to see some people were extinct. Lucas story will be next and I am interested to see where this series will go.
OVERALL: Was I entertained? Yes. Did I like the story? Yes. Would I read the other books in the series? Yes.

STORY: WHAT I LIKED: This story for me was interesting. Maxim and Livia’s story is twisted and they for me are the Joker and Harlequin of mafia. Maxim is very young and intense. I forget at times how young he is, but he did grown well. Livia is very feisty, very feisty. Sometimes both her and Maxim are like watching 2 dominants going at it. The start of their arrange marriage is toxic and dark with most of its content. So be prepare for the mental ride.
WHAT WAS SO SO: As much as I like Maxim and Livia, Livia’s character, I love that she was a strong female. However, constantly watching her fight, predominately in the beginning, became draining sometimes. The balance they both gave did not personally work well for me. I fully understand the makeup that is Livia and who her character is supposed to be in this story, as her energy matches Maxim a few times. Should she be submissive all the time, no. It was just a bit draining for me at times. This falls under what I personally like and my taste. This does not mean there is anything wrong with the way the author portray Livia.
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY Toxicity breeds interesting sex scenes and Maxim and Livia, they go there. It wasn’t all rainbows and sunshine in the beginning as there was force intimacy amongst other things. Their sex scenes became intense at times. No ow or om.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS: Both Maxim and Livia’s dads were interesting as the story unfolds. It was interesting seeing Maxim’s cousins and Livia’s brother:

STORY: WHAT I LIKED: I have to start by saying this book requires a certain type of reader. I am a lover of dark romance, but even I would have to not be human to not be affected by all that took place in this book. This would not be categorize as a romance, I would put in a psychology thriller that is very dark, twisted and wrong on all levels, VERY WRONG.
Alexander is the villain and main character of this story. The whole story is told from his POV. He is a very intense and dark character. He displays someone to me that gives off narcissistic behavior who is verbally, mentally and physically abusive. This type of behavior breathe life into his character and it’s one that you will walk away detesting but find yourself wanting to know how it ends.
Lilianna, she was interesting. I didn’t get her thoughts but she was so young, strong at times, and seems to see earlier on red flags with Alexander, but chose to ignore.
**Note, this isn’t a romance and the author noted this. You are reading the thoughts of a deprave, twisted and dark man that shows from start to end the moment he sees a young 17 year old girl and decided to make her apart of his twist plan against her brother. He slowly becomes obsessive and possessive over her, which then spirals out of control into violence and terror.
WHAT WAS SO SO: I think for me, this mentally takes a told because you are only reading Alexander’s POV. I know it’s the purpose of the story, but I wanted fresh prospective within this story for certain situation. Lilianna’s family are in the Heretic Brotherhood MC, but the story doesn’t give you an MC vibe. Maybe that’s the way it was intended. The storyline with Nadia, I don’t feel anything became of it. The deal the struck, I really didn’t see much playing out. I remember asking myself, whatever happen to her.
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY I left out the sex rating above. It was done so for me because it was sex that was one sided but in the form of enjoyment for the villain. I have to note there is sex, no with just the heroine but ow. The triggers are astronomical, very forced with repetitive violence and rape towards women that is very descriptive. So again, this book should be read by a certain reader who isn’t sensitive and has the mentally capacity to not be triggered so easily.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS: There were a few interesting secondary characters who added to the story. However, Alexander’s character took over this book/story completely l.
OVERALL: Was I entertained? At times. Did I like the story? Yes and no Would I read the other books in the series? Yes.
TRIGGERS: Narcissistic abusing behavior, manipulative and verbal abuse, repetitive violent rape and violence against women.

STORY: WHAT I LIKED: I enjoyed the set up of this story. Bael, who is a Kalodian and is an Overlord, with many others, came to earth and took over. Once the humans were taken over, they are put into 3 categories, slaves, feeders and breeders. Aleana was assigned to be a feeder, which involves fangs. You have the storyline between Bael and Aleana and they sub plot between Aleana and her family that is playing out. Once everything collides it gets more dark and interesting.
Aleana had a submissive like demeanor that activates Bael’s dominant side. This is what makes their story interesting as Aleana isn’t putting up a fight in regards to her situation as she welcomes it in some ways.
This story has really dark content and it will/might upset a few because of who as well. So be prepared as it all depends on what you consider dark and what is too dark for you.
WHAT WAS SO SO: I really don’t have anything that I disliked . I only wished that Bael did not wait so long to tell Aleana that she was his mate. Aleana seemed ok, excited even about this towards the end, but kind of wanted her thoughts more not a page. We got to see Bael’s on and off again battle with the mate issue throughout the story.
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY One word, ROUGH. That’s what I would use to describe Bael and Aleana’s sex scenes. Most of the dark contents of this story was really the sex. Force, rough, degrading, non con, dub con. Again, we have the submissive and dominant roles at playing also that involves all these sex acts. So make sure it is your thing. When Aleana and Bael first got together, it was non stop sex. Was that an issue for me? No, for others maybe yes or no. So prepare yourself for that as well.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS: I liked Ella, Aleana’s best friend, hoping to see if she will have her own story. I also liked Kurdjin and the others that reported Bael. The characters brought out the story as well.
OVERALL: Was I entertained? Yes. Did I like the story? Yes, it’s not your typical romance fall in love story so if you are sensitive to certain things would not advise reading. Would I read the other books in the series? Yes.
TRIGGERS: execution killings, torture, rape (descriptive), force intimacy, rough sex, degrading acts, non con, dub con.

STORY: WHAT I LIKED: The beginning of this book which is the build up prior to captor taking captive. When said captive was taken by captor’s enemy and the sex scenes those were exciting moments as well as Julian’s possessive and obsessive behavior towards Nora. When I heard key words, captive, kidnap, secret island and Rich mysterious man, that draws you in a bit.
WHAT WAS SO SO: With some books, it doesn’t matter how long they were written, if you like it you like it. I think for me, just getting into dark and unusual romance novels around this time 2014, I would have really enjoyed this book. However, in 2022, no. This is not really dark for me and even if it’s not as dark doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy it. Some subject matters were dark, yes, but it was so tame. There was no anticipation of excitement that I felt. This is the second book I’ve read by the author, the first, Tormentor Mine, I felt the same way about the hero, they were too nice-ish for this to be dark/captive. On the island, it just felt like it was on repeat, and found myself becoming uninterested. Julian leaves, then comes back, he has sex with Nora, she ask who are you, still nothing it’s a mystery, he leaves and the same cycle happens again and again. In regards to Nora, I started loosing a tiny bit of interest because she gave in so quickly once kidnapped. It felt too easy. Yes, she said no, but I felt the author made her too thirsty for it too quickly, truly her age definitely showed throughout this ordeal.
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY I don’t know what this says about me, but I have no issues with the sex scenes. It had its non con and force scenes but they had their other moments.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS: Beth, I really liked her. But there was no one else that jumped out to me.
OVERALL: Was I entertained? Not really. Did I like the story? Yes, the concept of it. Would I read the other book in the series? Not sure if I will counting, I’ll see.

STORY: WHAT I LIKED: I love stalker romances, and this is the second one that I have read within a month that I really enjoyed. The moment I read the first 3 chapters, I knew it was going to be a good one that catered to my personal preference and taste. Christian’s stalking was beyond messed up, to say he is batshit crazy is being too nice. He is possessive, obsessive, a narcissist, controlling, manipulative, jerk, dark and extremely intense and this creates a very interesting character that makes your skin crawl. Throughout this book, you have the Christian who watches from afar, the Christian who interacts with his prey (because that is what Siân is) and the Christian who terrorizes his prey. It’s so interesting, because all these things are like foreplay for him before getting what he wants. As the story gets further, Christian becomes more intense and scary, not scary physically, but scary mentally; it was like psycho logical warfare watching him at work being manipulative. At one point, Christian had the nerve to call someone else manipulative (pot meet kettle). I think what heightens Christian’s character, is Siân’s naivety. She was extremely naive. If she was a very strong female in this role, it would have not worked at all. Siân is Siân for me, because Christian stole the show for me in this one.
WHAT WAS SO SO: You know when you are watching a movie, and that one character that you are yelling at because of the choices they are making, that’s Siân. She brought out the dark in Christian, but she gave me severe case of massive eye roll syndrome WATCHING HER INTERACTIONS WITH TWO MEN. The mafia aspect was but for 5 minutes. It was not dominant in book 1 but used to give more of a backstory. Really unsatisfied it’s a duet, this could have been done in one shot, because I want to keep that momentum going of how I am feeling.
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY The build up was interesting but their actual sex scenes were a turn on. But I think why it was also appealing was that darkness Christian displayed (I can’t help it when psychos start talking dirty, and all that mine with messy sex). It added to their sex scenes along with their wolf in sheep clothing chemistry. There is a scene that is definitely non con and forced that may not appeal to most people.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS: I don’t feel there were a lot of secondary characters in rotation, but the ones that were rotated added to my appeal. It was such a telenovela. If I say names, it will create spoilers.
OVERALL: Was I entertained? Yes. Did I like the story? Yes. Would I read the other book in the series? Yes, AND SO MAD I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL APRIL!
TRIGGERS: assault on a female, graphic killings, narcissist behavior/abuse, stalking, non con and force intimacy.

STORY: What I liked: This book was interesting. The author didn’t give the usual sweet and innocent heroine. Shay surprised me with her character as she wasn’t what I expected in this role. Killian gave me intense. His stalker-ish ways mixed with his anger and sexual need gave you a little excitement. The author takes it there with the shock value with certain scenes and that was appealing.
What was so so: I felt like this story was a bit similar to her other book I have read. The University, the rich men, the weak female they can prey on, a mystery or secret held by the wealthy, being held captive, drugged etc. I was also not a 100% a fan of the plot or the mystery/secret aspect of the story. It did not suck me in all the way.
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY The sex scenes felt dark as the encounters progressed because of the characters. Some scenes involved items that some may not want to read or can be considered too much for others. I personally did not have any issues as with each sex scene it became more appealing even the dark intense ones.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS: There were other characters at play but no one really stood out to me.
OVERALL: Was I entertained? Sometimes. Did I like the story? I was not a fan of the plot, but was still enticed by certain things. Would I read the other books in the series? Maybe.

STORY: What I liked: So far, I have read all of the author’s books from His Captive to this latest book, Forbidden Soul. The author’s storytelling with each book has grown a lot. I start my review saying this, because for me, what made Forbidden Soul good, was the construction of this story. Each component, character and point of view was done in a way that pulled you in to where I can paint each scene in my mind vividly as I am reading and I am not able to do that with every book I read.
I appreciate the summary of the pervious books in the series before diving into book 5. It helps a lot as time goes by before the next book in the series. The beginning of the story was like a slow burn, but a very non boring slow burn that kept my interest. The author establishes both Troj and Shaniya individually and gradually kept building until you are literally and eagerly anticipating them merging. Troj is in a MC called the dirty Souls-and Shaniya is Native/Indigenous and the Chief’s niece from a reservation that have secluded themselves from the town to preserve their ways and culture, hence the forbidden in Forbidden Soul as they are from two different worlds that have stayed away from each other. Troj, we already got a sense of who he was as we have seen him throughout the series. Shaniya was the star of this story. You had Shaniya and then the 3rd character at play, her innocence. Without that innocence, this story wouldn’t be what it was.
The story starts out light and sweet up until a certain point, but transitions into dark and graphic. So I will say be prepared for this because it will definitely evoke some strong emotions. Mine were that of anger, tears and literally anxiety.
What was so so: There isn’t much that I didn’t like. I will only say without spoiling what happened that Shaniya needed more time towards the end for her and I am not sure if she got enough because she was so enamored and consumed with Troj to process on her own. However, I can see that she needed him as well to heal.
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY Sexual chemistry was good and it really was about their build up and tension. I, of course being a book sexaholic would love more, but given the way this story is, it was done right.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS: O.M.G I could not wait to write this part.
Rogue and Grimm- like WTF, apart from Troj and Shaniya, these two were giving me lifeeeeeeee with their, vulgar, naughty and outlandish ways.
Squealer- I will be saying a prayer for him with whoever he ends up with, she will need it. I hope it’s Dan, she would be his match I think. He did make me laugh at times while still shaking my head at the things that came out him mouth.
Tawk - I heart him. Can’t say too much don’t want to give anything away. But really want to express some thoughts but won’t.
Of course all the couples of pervious books passed, loved them. The weren’t just drive byes but very much involved especially with each book in the series.
OVERALL: Was I entertained? Yes. Did I like the story? Yes. Would I read the other books in the series? After 5 books in still a strong yes.
TRIGGERS: Violence. Rape (graphic and detailed)

STORY: What I liked: I personally felt this should not be read as a standalone in my opinion, if I was coming from the prospective of a reader not familiar with the series. What happen to Kaiya and some of her history is strongly noted in book 1, The Wolf. Majority of the incidents and crimes that happen in book 2, The Pope, happens in book 3, however, it’s seen and viewed from Kaiya and Bohdi’s vantage point. Book 3 is really about Kaiya, after being rescued, broken and navigating to find her way out of her own personal darkness. Also, with Bohdi helping her rediscover herself.
Although the story mirrors book 2 with some events intertwining in some ways, in between are the moments we see Bohdi being patient and understanding of Kaiya’s trauma. His possessiveness was there but the author took a backseat with it for Dog’s story because everything he does is in consideration of her history and trauma. Kaiya went from victim, lost, to rebuilding and graduated a bad ass. I liked seeing the metamorphosis of Kaiya. This story was definitely about the emotional and physical growth of the characters.
What was so so: Kaiya is extremely young. I believe this is an age gap story, however, it was not all the way believable a tiny bit seeing her in a motherly role yet. It’s nothing major, but wished her aged was bumped up a bit for that. From what Kaiya said in book 1, I get why the kids are important in this story. There were different sub plots at play but there was one in particular without giving it away, I needed more history on that crazy duo and how they came to be. It wasn’t really explained. I understand why the guy wanted revenge but who he is married to was a how and why question for me. Story isn’t extremely dark but has its dark contents.
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY The sex scenes matched the characteristics of the Kaiya and Dog. It wasn’t hardcore but still very sexy and done right with all that Kaiya has been through.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS: Gentlemen and Gypsy Bastards, hide your women because this club thinks Justice is always out to get their women haha. I love Justice. I hope he will have a story. Again, because all these stories in the series are tied together, it was good seeing the reoccurring characters. The kids definitely added to the enjoyment of this story and I love them.
OVERALL: Was I entertained? Yes. Did I like the story? Yes, with 1 or 2 tiny buts. Would I read the other books in the series? Yes……I do have to say though, with all these kids in the MC, I feel like we will need a next generation series going, preferably a high school MC , just saying *wink wink*
TRIGGERS: violence and assault on a female and Kaiya’s history.
****I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. STORY: What I liked: I like the way the author started this story and built the characters individually leading up to their interactions. This took place until 30% of the book, and for me, it was still engaging as it really made me anticipate seeing them together. I also love that the author would use the same scene and shows us Wolf’s perspective and then Hadley’s and vice versa as it gave good insight on both on particular scenes. The way this story started, I was not expecting what was to come, it got raw and a bit dark with certain contents. It was entertaining and I found myself engrossed in the storyline. Wolf and Hadley both did not have a happy past. Once Wolf set his sights on Hadley, his possessive caveman bravado came to the surface and it gave me a little bit more excitement. Hadley was definitely a firecracker and I enjoyed her chemistry with Wolf.
What was so so: I felt that we got a bit more in-depth with Hadley’s past but not so much Wolf’s. I didn’t see him indulged much of his to Hadley. The Epilogue was good news but wish it was extended because I wanted to know if Wolf would have the same fears or concerns.
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY: I love Wolf and Hadley’s chemistry and when they finally had sex, because it was quite a build up, it was good for me. I only wish they had more because I enjoyed them together.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS: I heart books where we have secondary characters at play that are very much involve in the storyline of the main characters. What makes it the cherry on top, seeing or having an idea who they will be paired up with for their own story. I love Pope and Mad Dog from the MC club they stood out a lot. I like Viking as well. Hadley’s best friend Storm, looking forward to her story. Kaiya, I want to give her a hug.
OVERALL: Was I entertained? Yes. Did I like the story? Yes. Do I find myself looking forward to reading the next book in the series? Yes.
✰✰TRIGGERS: brutal assault on a female, rape and violence.

STORY: This was not a bad story, the beginning was heavy for me. Death of a love one dying of cancer and taking us through it. It was very emotional for me. Depending on if it’s relatable, it could be a trigger.
Ryker was a likable character but he really was not giving me VP vibes. His biker persona I was not impressed with, but his connection to Charlotte is what I like the most out of this book. Charlotte was the good sister. She gives me a bit of strength, but still seems very unsure. The plot was likable and it kept my interest.
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY: Sex scenes were good. I have no issues.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS: I like the secondary characters. Some of the bikers like Jase and Reaper stood out to me. As for Charlotte’s sister, no a fan at all. I think she got of too easy.
OVERALL: Like the story and it’s caught my interest where I would want to read the other books in the series.
✰✰TRIGGERS: violence, sexual assault on a female
