I really really wanted to love this, unfortunately it just was not for me.

I'm already bad with second chance romances (but willing and ready to soften up to them though), so given the reason of the break-up, and the fact that it happened on their wedding day (hello, unforgiveable??), I was just lost.
(view spoiler)[Not to mention, Brighton blamed Charlotte for it all, depite Brighton never talking to Charlotte about being unhappy and whenever she was asked how she was doing, she just waved it off as if it was nothing. How's Charlotte supposed to know Brighton's not doing good without her actually opening up about it? Communication, people!!! And then Charlotte just took the blame as well, as if it really WAS her fault. Okay. (hide spoiler)]
Also, why is this marketed as a Christmas book? Christmas morning was prox. 3 pages and the event the mom has set up for the group doesn't really have anything to do with Christmas, so... why?
Anyway - I can't fault the writing and the humor did hit right at time. 3/5�

While I will admit that Aiden's whole reason for not wanting to get something started with Lucie didn't really feel... realistic? Enough? Fitting? The REST OF IT THO, I'm in love. It was all a wonderful mix of yearning, silliness, tension, close proximity issues, "we shouldn't do this", "I've been flirting with you", magic, etc. etc.
Super excited to be reading about Jackson (if I'm not mistaken) in the sequel as well, when it's out at some point. I'll be preparing for the nervous rants in that one ...more

This was lovely and very touching!!
And I appreciated the note at the start of the book a lot, just to clear the tone before going into it as this is not a rom-com like her other books.
