In Good Company is a billionaire, boss x private chef, ex-boyfriend’s brother romance. The Pembroke Hills is a country club in the Hamptons, and that’s where Lucy who is a chef is working. She runs into her ex’s other brother< Callahan, and he immediately interested in her. Callahan (Cal) thought his brother was an idiot for treating Lucy the way he did, and when he saw her again at the country club, he knew he needed to have her. He offered her a job as his private chef, making her an offer that was too good to pass up.
The chemistry between Cal and Lucy was intense! The pining between them was perfection! He makes her eat with him the food she cooks every night, and he helps her film her cooking videos, teaching him how to cook as she was too shy to film herself without him. They went to the farmer’s market together, and he was determined to spoil her! There were 2 couples that were hinted in the upcoming books in The Pembroke Hills series. The conflict was sad, though needed in order for Lucy and Cal to grow enough to figure out that being with each other is nonnegotiable!
I’d recommend listening to In Good Company by the pool or at the beach, because the summer vibes were fantastic! I felt like I was in the Hamptons! The audiobook was well casted, and was performed in a duet style narration by Connor Crais and Erin Mallon! I love them both, and I have will always search out books that they narrate as they always bring the characters to life!
Thank you to Kat Singleton and Valentine PR for an audio ALC. All thoughts and opinions in this review are my own. And I will be reading Kat Singleton again…very soon!...more

Both are single parents, and the way they are protectJake and Clara began with anonymous hook ups, and continued after they learn who each other are. Both are single parents, and the way they are protective over their daughters is everything! Neither of them plan for them to each other’s daughter, but they do since Jake and Clara cannot stay away from each other. Both bond with their daughters, causing them to fall more in love with each other. Jake is a man who learn to braid hair for his daughter!
Clara is older than Jake, and she felt that she couldn’t be in a relationship. Jake didn’t want to risk his daughter getting attached to his love interest, which is why they both were initially hesitant going into a relationship past sex. However, the passion and chemistry that both had for each other bled from the pages. Both made some bad decisions, but took responsibility for them. Both did little romantic gestures as well as big ones. They had their baggage from past relationships, but were willing to do the work to be together because they wouldn’t live without each other as their love is soul deep.
The spice was good and was well balanced with the character driven plot. The characters were smart, mature, and willing to grow and change for the betterment of their relationship and themselves. All characters had their own voice and were well fleshed out. The pacing of the romance was perfect. Julia Wolf knows how to write a romance! The audiobook was fantastic! Avery Reid and James Cassidy were perfect narrating Clara and Jake. I highly recommend listening to In the Details.

He knew she was the one, but she needed to be convinced. Especially when she found out that Eros was her boss. Lev didn’t believe in love, because her parents were abusive towards her and love was a foreign concept to them. Eros didn’t give up and they were possessive with each other. The pacing was good for a novella. There wasn’t a lot when it came to spice. The drama came from Lev’s insecurities and her parents. For 150 pages, it was a complete story that hit every beat. ...more

When he first saw her, she was devastated because she found out that Riley, her ex-girlfriend and Julian’s daughter, had been cheating on her. They spent 3 days together during Christmas, but nothing happened except for they fell in love with each other. They talked and texted since she left California until he couldn’t stay away from her. He created a nonprofit and made a big donation to the nonprofit that she worked with, so that he could be with her. Honor was all in with Julian, but they had to deal with the fallout from being together. The romance was hot and the pining was everything! The character growth was good for a novella and I loved how Honor called her dad out for being a hypocrite. This is a great Valentine’s Day Novella! ...more

Claire is in town to buy Jake’s family farm for her dad’s hotel/resort company, but doesn’t tell him. He rescues her from the side of the road, and they have a 15-day romance until the truth comes out. Claire has to come to terms with where her heart really lies. The romance is lust to love within a month, and the story explores what really matters and not being a perpetual people pleaser. There is some praise kink along with holiday cheer! A Very Merry Mistake was a fun time!

Lila always had a crush her brother’s best friend whom she hasn’t seen in years until her brother’s engagement party. Brooks didn’t recognize Lila until after he kissed her. He didn’t talk to her again until he went home to Vermont to check on his grandmother. She saw how much Lila and Brooks pined for each other, so she meddled them into the one bed trope while Brooks helped Lila plan her brother’s wedding very quickly! The romance was fire! The characters were well developed and interesting! I love how they connected with each other, and how Brooks talked to his best friend before declaring his feelings. I loved that Lila’s brother wasn’t a jackass about Brooks and Lila! It had a wedding on Christmas feel in a quaint inn in Vermont. I need to read more from Ann Einerson! ...more

There was some emotional trauma that he wasn’t dealing with until he learned that he had knocked up Grace and she left NYC without telling him 7 years ago. They are also neighbors and meet when Jess is in a towel with a yogurt mask on and is locked out of her apartment. He is her next door neighbor, and she climbs from his balcony to hers in order to get back into her apartment. Both see each other’s bits before they know each other’s name or that Sean is the billionaire and the CEO of the hotel conglomerate that bought out Jess’s partner’s shares. They have to negotiate since Sean needs Jess to sell her half of the hotel, but she doesn’t want to. They end up becoming fake engaged because of Jess’s ex-fiance. The third act break up made sense for Jess and her past trauma, but Sean made this book! He was swoony, but he did mention that his male part is twitching a lot when thinking about Jess and business with Jess. Once he decided on Jess, he was all in, and worked hard to reason with Jess. As for Jess, she was a strong and independent heroine with a cute pet bird. She was always sunny and very competent at her job. There is a lot of chemistry between Jess and Sean. There is good banter and this really was a workplace enemies to lovers. The characters were well thought out. The pacing was well done and I wasn’t bored at all. Also, the spice was spicing when they did finally get together. That wasn’t for a while, which created good tension between the two.
Jacob Morgan and Andi Arndt did a phenomenal job voicing Sean and Jess in a duet style narration. Both brought out the tension, humor, sadness/angst, and the longing and emotions of the romance. Thank you to Jolie Day and Forever & Always PR for an ALC! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Polly Allen is a local clothing store own in their small town in the Bitterroot Valley.
Ryan and Polly had a steamy night, and both were dissatisfied when each other thought they weren’t interested in pursuing a relationship past the one night stand. After several months, they were able to clear the air and became closer as a couple. Ryan and Polly had electric chemistry and did not fight their mutual attraction. Polly was a little intimidated by Ryan’s vast wealth as she didn’t want to appear to be a gold digger. However, Ryan’s love language is gift giving to those whom he loves.
Ryan’s single dad status began earlier in the series when he adopted Jake, a teenager that was in the foster care system and had trauma he needed to work through. Ryan and Jake’s relationship was well developed and emotional. I loved how Polly and Jake’s relationship strengthened throughout the book, and how Jake felt safe with Polly as he felt loved from her. Kristen Proby wrote Ryan, Polly, and Jake as an enduring, found family.
A crazy ex-hook up from Ryan’s past and work stuff Polly were the stressors within the third act, so there was no third act break up. The romance was good, the characterization was well done, and I enjoyed the story as a whole.

Frankie Kinkade will do anything for her family, even convince buyers that the local inn is haunted. She is the ghost, scaring off her sisters’s competition for the property. He comes to town not only to spend time with his mother, but to town to find out what is going on only to discover Frankie and her mischievousness are more interesting than finding a buyer. To prove to a potential buyer, Chandler agrees to spend a week at the end, baiting Frankie to do the same. And of course she can’t resist a challenge from the man who scrambles her thoughts with a kiss!
Chandler and Frankie are both coping with paternal abandonment. It has made them both headstrong, independent, and protective over their family members. Frankie’s Gigi is psychic and meddlesome in a way that is fun. Chandler and Frankie are rivals to lovers. The chemistry is great and the plot is fun! The third act conflict may not be for everyone, but I liked it! The Candlemaker is a good small town romance between two hardheaded people who can’t not fall in love with each other, no matter what shenanigans they get up to.
