Honestly, I should have done that the moment I stopped enjoying it, which was pretty early on. Seven amnesiacs wake up on a boat heading up the Thames. “We’re going somewhere. To do something. Something that involves guns. And a boat full of very clever and capable people with no memory of who they are.� Yep, seven clueless people on a boat with guns. That's pretty much sums up the whole book. With no memories of who they are, the characters are all 2D and boring. Since this is a pandemic apocalypse book, it just turns into one big monster fight going up the river. I sped read most of that $#!+. Oh, and the group occasionally gets hints from a sat phone about the next phase in their mission. Then, you get to the ending, and you're like ... what just happened? Honestly, there were lots of vague bits throughout the book, so I guess having an ending that made little sense shouldn't have been surprising. ...more
