BrThe Most Wonderful Crime of the Year is fantastic! I made the mistake of starting it in the evening and could NOT put it down until I was finished. Brilliant plot with multiple twisty mysteries, the wittiest of banter, and two captivating leads. This book is a love letter to Agatha Christie and traditional locked room/closed circle mysteries. Enthralling, intricate, heartwarming, and thoroughly un-put-downable!

And her sexy new neighbor might just be the key to her success.
Amy stands for everyone who's ever had their heart broken only to impulsively seek revenge and get bitten by the impulse. I love that while she ran to the UK and took a safe job, she was still willing to try to overcome her fear of further humiliation. Even when her ex bf/boss is hired as her new boss, she doesn't give up. Jake made an interesting contrast as he too suffered public humiliation - how he handled his fear and his willingness to step outside his comfort zone to help Amy with her new project.
This is a sweet slow burn with humor and a vulnerable but gooey love interest. ...more

So much love and warmth and humor in this book! I love that the author’s world is one where everyone finds acceptance - no matter their gender, sexuality, religion, or ethnicity. Even seemingly gruff and antagonistic relationships have a nugget of affection at the heart of them.
Perfect second chance, body positive, queer, Jewish representation, cozy, contemporary romance with all of the witty banter. ...more
