TheToby Wise is one of those authors I can count on for magical heartwarming reads. This is quick, very light enemies to lovers, and just very sweet. The two MCS kind of fuddle through their feelings for each other, but it does end with a very sweet HEA. The worldbuilding is light as others have mentioned, but I think it overall fit with the pace and the tone. If you're looking for an easy quick read with a touch of magic this may just be the one for you!...more

Like the other books in the series this one was fun, not one but two great love stories, huge feelings, and just so heartwarming I dare you to read it and not smile throughout. I loved how both brothers were so entirely different, but going on the same journey to find they're happy ever after. Sunday has definitely worked her way onto my "favorite series" shelf with this series, and once again I am looking forward to whatever she decides to write next. ...more

If you're a fan of quirky characters, as I definitely am, this is a must read! It's fun, sweet, cute, and just overall really good. Also, though it's not explicitly stated, I do believe both of the MCs might be on the spectrum, and I'm always looking for more representation. Since this is marked as a series, I so hope the next book is about the same two MCs because I definitely want more of them!...more

The romance is soooo slow burn, the feeling are there but the relationship has gotten stuck before it really gets going, but I think this time is necessary for Matt/Hugh to figure out some really important things. It also is just laying the groundwork for a really great relationship in the future! Matt has a lot going on in this one, and I just really love seeing him become more secure in his place in the supe world, while solving kind of kooky mysteries! With lots of cameos from past series/books, this story is fun from start to finish...more

The first book in this spin off series was just okay for me, I think I missed the action subplot of the original series, but with this one I was able to just sit back and enjoy the ride and really loved the book. We've seen Dustin really come into his own over these two series and in this book he's competent, mature (or as mature as dragons can be), and wholly prepared to be the man Rob needs. There's not much plot to this one, but there was a lot of laughs, a great cast of characters, and a very sweet romance. ...more

I absolutely loved our MC Tristan and his dead sidekick Dusty (sorry Dusty for calling you a sidekick), and thought this was a fun, sweet, and at times steamy start to a new series. I really enjoy my MCs nerdy and shy and Tristan totally fit the bill. He isn't big on crowds, but you get to see him slowly become a person who is more comfortable in his skin as he tries to figure out what exactly happened to Dusty and why he's now the only one who can see her. I truly had fun while reading this and look forward to more.
Now you may notice I haven't really mentioned our other MC Danny. I did like Danny, he was strong and sweet, but he was a little boring. I wish his POV was either, A. spent on the investigation or B. not included. It's rare that I don't like dual POV, but I just didn't feel like it was necessary here and didn't really add much to the story. Hopefully as the series progresses we get more out of him than him mooning for Tristan (although Tristan definitely is someone to get moony over), as I feel like he has more to add than was given here. It's a little instalovey for my taste, and I think this could have made for a good slower burn, but I still have high hopes and can't wait to see what comes next!...more

Bisexual awakening, best friends to lovers, and so much steam you might need a fan just to get through the book. There were times when I wanted to just shove our two MCs into a room so they were forced to actually talk about their feelings, but overall I was able to look past it, as they really needed that time to get through their own hangups and make some real life changes before they were ready to completely be together. I loved both Chris and Lucas, Chris with his outgoing bubbly personality type and Lucas with his quiet strength and just complete caretaker personality. High on heat and feels, this was another great story from Eliot. ...more

GI'm pretty sure with May's last book I waxed poetic about how absolutely amazing the Grumpy/Sunshine trope was done, and May has done it again here! Grumpy Knox and Sunshine Gage just work so well together. It's almost an enemies to lovers tale, and watching these two snipe at each other worked for a very snarky foreplay for a couple that I ended up loving. Little Pippin Hollow has given us another extremely fun cast of characters set in a gorgeous Vermont landscape. As always, May has started a new series that is fun, funny, steamy, and just makes you excited to see what comes next!...more

I'm gonna start with addressing my main man Jasper, because I saw myself in him so much. I was also a bullied kid who had a late in life glow-up and still dresses like I'm from a different era so I instantly felt a kinship to Jasper. I completely understood why he feels the way he does and why he can be a little more than curmudgeonly. I also completely understood why West melted him so thoroughly. West was sweet, light hearted, extremely overwhelmed, and just what Jasper needed in his life. Their chemistry was overwhelming and the steamy scenes were ...more

I don't know why I keep picking up books in this series and thinking "I'll just start a couple chapters before I have to get xxx done.", because inevitably everything else I absolutely have to do gets shoved aside as I'm completely immersed in these wonderful stories that Sunday is writing. This book was a little angstier than the others in the series, but it absolutely worked for these two MCs. There's so much pining, so many feelings, just absolutely so much to love about this story. There was also a little to hate as our favorite evil twins made a repeat appearance, but I can forgive that as their plans are thwarted once again. A heartbreaking forbidden romance with a perfect HEA. Please, please, let this not be the last in the series. ...more

This was such a cute opposites attract, fake relationship turned real story with such extremely likable characters and a sweet HEA. Stoic, reserved, and a career military man, while Arthur is artistic, free spirited, and while he comes from a military family, his one rule is he will never date a military man. However, the absolutely explosive chemistry Albert throws at you with that very first kiss proves that these two are destined for more than just a fake relationship. Both MCs are a little lost, trying to find their way after some pretty big changes, when they meet and have explosive chemistry from the get-go. While Lindsey is known for some pretty heavy angst, I felt this one was an easier read than a lot of others and while the angst was still there, it was mellower and I honestly adored it for these MCs who really couldn't handle too much. If you're not a fan of the feeling of waiting for the other shoe to drop, this will not be the book for you, but if you're okay with that I'd definitely recommend it for the definite steam, lovely characters, and all around great story.
Side note: I have not read the first book in the series (something I will rectify), but this one can definitely be read as a standalone. ...more

This story reads as very real without any over the top dramatics or unnecessary drama, but rather just two men figuring out how to love each other. As always, Amy's worldbuilding is outstanding and I just want to live in her head because I'm sure it's a completely magical place. Since this is a Pinocchio retelling with a brought to life sex doll, I kind of expected it to be silly, when it was anything but. It was so thought-provoking and emotional and I just fell head over heels for both of the main characters who have had such tough lives and overcame so much. It's truly a story where love overcomes all. ...more

It dealt with gender dysphoria on such a deep level which was unexpected but in my opinion was done very well (however, I am a cis woman so my opinion does not matter here and take all of that with a whole mountain of salt). Still Knight’s writing was so powerful and thought provoking that I truly felt like I was on Ellie’s journey with him. The enjoyed the way the ace rep was done as well, since it seems most books that deal with ace rep go straight to the sex-averse side of asexuality, while it was treated differently here without ever making it seem like there was one way to be asexual.
And I think that kind of gets to the crux of this novel, and it was one about accepting who you are, no matter what box you were born in or which box is the one you actually fit comfortably in. Felix and Elian were the perfect characters to go through this story with. They were cute, charming, insecure (the fact I haven’t already mentioned that Felix is a plus sized MC is a crime because I adored that), and just all around lovely characters. I laughed, I cried, and just fell for this beautiful story.
Complete side note: Amazon has this at 90 pages right now but something is seriously wrong with their page count algorithm. The paperback page count is much more reflective of the actual length, so don’t go into this thinking you’re reading a novella. ...more
