I love when the MC in a book is either a veterinarian or works/volunteers at an animal shelter. It makes my heart so happy <3 and when I saw that our fMC worked at a shelter, I couldn’t get enough.
I really enjoyed the story between her and Zander, too. It was so cute and easy to follow. I also loved that it was based in Chicago, although as a native Chicagoan, I could feel this was written by someone who doesn’t live in Chicago; it just didn’t have that authentic feel.
