This book. This book is everything! From Blood and Ash is incredible, but A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire just takes everything that was awesome in the first one to a whole new level! The Romance was delicious, swoonworthy, and heart melting! Hawke has just taken my number one book boyfriend spot! The action in this book is so badass, it made me feel like I wanted to jump in the fight with them! Poppy goes through a lot of developments and coming to terms with who she is and what she wants. I loved being able to see inside her head every step of the way. Poppy is such a badass QUEEN, I stan! She is absolutely one of my all time favorite characters! I'm in love with this book! And this world? It just keeps getting more and more interesting as we discover more information about it with Poppy! If you haven't read From Blood and Ash by Jennifer L. Armentrout, do yourself a favor and READ IT! And if you haven't pre-ordered A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire, do yourself a favor and get on that now, because you are going to want to! Original review: Wow. Just wow! Sarah J Maas has officially done it again! This book started slow but what it built up to? Incredible! This world is honestly unlike any fantasy world I have ever read and I LOVED IT! I will admit, it was hard to grasp in the beginning, but Sarah explains it so well and it is so so smart! The romance in this book was a slow burn, but I absolutely love Hunt and Bryce! Their friendship alone was the cutest thing! The action in this book was so BADASS! Oh my goodness I could barely contain my cheering at some points! The character growth I saw in Bryce and Hunt was incredible! The character arcs of many characters was so satisfying! If you haven't read House of Earth and Blood, do yourself a favor, and read this book! I can only imagine the next book will be even better! I think this has to be my favorite first book that Sarah has ever written! I promise if you read this book, and get past the slower beginning, you will love it! *Spoilers!* So Hunt and Bryce! I really don't think Sarah is gonna have any other guy for Bryce, we've never had a first book with both of their POV's, and I really feel like this is a sign that they are endgame! Their line about them being each other's mirror? *Internal screaming* Also I really already ship Hypaxia and Rhun and I totally knew she was the witch queen when Rhun first met her! I just wanted to say I so called that lol and I knew Bryce had some starlight in her because at some points it said she was glowing with starlight or something, but I had no idea HOW MUCH starlight this bitch had? Wow. The ending starting from Micah finding Bryce in the library? I couldn't handle it but also it was incredible! It just kept getting more and more intense! Just when I thought woah I didn't think it could get that crazy, it got crazier! Bryce proved herself to be so badass I stan her hardcore! Aelin is still my queen but I think I like Bryce a little more than Feyre? Just tbh.... Also Lehebah.... I am so sad she died! I legitimately cried! It was also a total Dobby moment, like she was finally free! I was gutted! The fact that Danika helped Bryce make the drop?! I was shooketh and crying! The fact that Bryce SURPASSED her father? OMG! And then she ascended for Hunt? I was so on edge! And then they sort of had a happily ever after! Not gonna lie, wish they hadn't been cockblocked so many time lol but the next book will hopefully make up for all of those times lol I love this book and I love these characters and I think this book is now my new favorite of the year, with FB&A a close second! Now to wait for the next! *Sigh*...more
