The story follows the two Steckler sisters, Ellie and Stella, and their journey as the top cross-country runners at their school. After Mila, a new student at school, who also happens to be the only runner who could beat the Steckler sisters goes missing, the town uproots and all fingers point to the Steckler sisters.

I read this book for the first time almost three years ago and I still think about it almost daily. This definitely deserves the hype. I am almost positive everyone on here has at lat heard something about this book, but if you have't: five students walk into detention, and only four make it out. The story then follows the four students as they try to survive the aftermath of the detention, along with twists and turns that have come up. I did not see the ending coming at all. The secrets spilled, the plot twists, and the dynamic of the character truly make this book incredible. Go read before the tv show comes out! ...more
