يُشخِّص سكَزيرو مشكلة حقيقية هي عدم تلامس التلمذة والروحيانية مع جروح المؤمن العميقة وأنماط الخطية الشخصية، وأن الروحانية المُتاحة في الكنائس قد لا تؤيُشخِّص سكَزيرو مشكلة حقيقية هي عدم تلامس التلمذة والروحيانية مع جروح المؤمن العميقة وأنماط الخطية الشخصية، وأن الروحانية المُتاحة في الكنائس قد لا تؤدي إلى التغيُّر إلى صورة المسيح (ص19-20) ويُشير إلى الحاجة إلى إظهار ثمار الروح في حياتنا (ص33-34) ثم يعرض في الفصل الثاني تشكيلة من 10 أعراض لما يُسمّيه "الروحانية غير الناضجة وجدانيًا". ولكن عندما يعرض العلاج، يُقدِّم الكاتب مزيجًا من أفكار علم النفس الحديث والروحانية التأمليّة الرهبانية دون شرح علاقة واضحة بينها، لذلك يسير الجزء الثاني من الكتاب على مبدأ "من كل بستان زهرة" أو "أفكارٌ قرأتُها فأعجبتني"! سكزيرو يقتبس من فيلسوفٍ هنا (ص126، 252) وناسكٍ هناك (ص170، 207، 278) -وكأنه يدعونا لترك حياتنا والخروج إلى الصحراء!- ويضع المصطلحات الكتابية (مثل الإنسان العتيق والإنسان الجديد) جانبًا لصالح مصطلحات جديدة (الذات المزيفة والذات الحقيقية - رغم أن المشاكل التي تعرضها "الذات المزيفة" حقيقية!)، أو يروي قصصًا وكأنّ لها سُلطة على كيف يجب أن نفكر (ص127، 234، 291-292)، وفي النهاية يقول لك أن تختار ما يعجبك منها (ص279)! بعض الأفكار في الكتاب مفيدة، مثل عدم إهمال المشاعر وأهمية الراحة ووضع نمط للتأمل، ولكني لم أشعر بأن الكتاب ذو قيمة كبيرة....more
