This book was so dang cute. I really loved the friendship depicted and sweet every interaction was between the two. Time progressed quickly here and I could feel the tension building slowly between the MCs. It all felt like it happened quickly once they got to the cabin, but it worked. The boon was shorter so it made sense to see that progression speed up when they shifted.

This was Amnesia, loss of taste and touch, magic, and werewolves. There’s a faked mating, a gentle miscommunication, and then a magical faked mating.
This was a sexy and very fun read. It was a solid five stars to start and ended in a 3 so I’m going with 4. I skimmed a few pages near the end because I just did not care about the random “revenge, but the story was pretty much over by then.
This author is like finding a four leaf clover in a field of thorns. I love the writing in this series and basically everything I’ve read. I’m always afraid to get my hopes up, but I haven’t been disappointed yet. I will read any book this author writes and anxiously await the next one....more

These aren’t the most deep characters I’ve read, but this book reads like a fluffy action romance so that expectation wasn’t really there for me. It was hot, fun, and entertaining. This author has written my 3 favorite novellas. How? How can you be that good at a novella. I’ve read a ton of novellas and I think it’s rare to be able to make your reader enjoy everything.
To top everything, this is the omegaverse and it was done well. This dichotomy of the genders in the omegaverse can often get…intense. Sometimes, that intensity can ruin a story. The world this author has created has figured out this problem and dealt with it in truly satisfying ways. I love this world and it might be my favorite for this sub genre....more
Age gap, doctor/patient, time jump, ABO world, and all the cheesy tropey Alessandra Hazard goodness.
If you haven’t read this author, then you need to Age gap, doctor/patient, time jump, ABO world, and all the cheesy tropey Alessandra Hazard goodness.
If you haven’t read this author, then you need to know that she loves to write stories that should make you feel uncomfortable. Boundaries are always pushed and every sex scene should make you slightly ashamed that you’re into it. This one is par for the course and just about everything I love from AH. Honestly, if there’s something I don’t really like when I read one of her books I assume I just had my expectations up too high. That’s not a dig at all either; she knows what she’s good at and she churns out these books for our entertainment.
The ABO universe she has created is so perfect for all of these vaguely uncomfortable tropes too. You can’t be too mad at the doctor crossing boundaries because there’s no other good solution in this world. You can’t be too mad about an age gap when they live so long, there’s inherent compatibility, etc. There’s an answer for everything and it toes the line between naughty and gross. Let’s be honest, if you’ve been in this genre for a few months then this is practically tame.
I’ve read people are upset with the “first time and the time jump so I’ll give my take. The time jump felt necessary for me. Hugh might never have believed Eric’s love for him if it was only based of the imprint and of course we have the previous mating bond to consider. Is it convenient? Yes, but who cares? Everything about this book was convenient for plot purposes. As for their first times after seeing each other again…it felt like it happened exactly how it should have and only served to show they were not just compatible, but this world’s version of fated mates.
As always for an AH book, it’s insanely readable and hot in a dirty way.
Would I recommend to anyone I know? No. Would I reread it? Yes. Will I read anything she puts out. Absolutely....more

It’s quick, easy, and fun. I was definitely entertained throughout and loved how this was on the edge of taboo.
That being said, there was basically only one MC. Anthony was the most bland character that I’ve read from this author. It was absolutely disappointing. I know why she didn’t include more POVs from him early on, but his characterization really suffered from that. Jules was more of a character than Anthony and that’s not exactly a good thing.
I’m still going to read everything AH puts out and recommend the heck out of her even if some of her books aren’t my favorites....more

A lot of sex. A lot of words from the omegaverse that make me cringe. And definitely a lot of sex.
I think there was plot. But it was mostly the two MCs falling into instalove the moment they have sex. I’m used to that with the omegaverse and it didn’t bother me much. It was more the focus on the older MC talking about how his new lover is a virgin and I’m not sure I’ve ever read so many uses of the word “womb in a book let alone during sex. Not super hot for me.
I will say that I’m giving more stars than I thought I would because the sex stayed unique and decently hot (minus some word choices that just don’t personally do it for me) throughout.

I like this series. It’s not groundbreaking or emotional, but I know I’m going to get a good romance and some sexy scenes. This book fit that bill, but had some serious faults. I almost didn’t finish and was tempted to rate it lower.
There were way too many scenes and conversations with Toby and other characters that didn’t really move the book forward. God Toby was annoying. I read one of his scenes and then just skimmed everything else involving him. It felt like a third of the book was just pointless conversations with people I didn’t care about.
Luckily, I liked Yoram so much his story was enjoyable for me to read. I didn’t even mind how long it took for the MCs to get together. I pretty much knew that would happen and it was “fate anyway. The most insta of instalove can be found here. There’s talk of convincing one of the mates, but it didn’t exactly feel that way. Both MCs felt it and, even if one couldn’t quite understand the label, accepted the bond.
There are vampires and wolf shifters. There’s bloodsucking, shifting, and tons of sex. I mean toooons of sex. So be prepared. Some of the sex happens while the bloodsucking happens and it was kinda hot...at first. I repeat, there is quite a bit of sex occurring in this book.
This story is low angst. I kept expecting something intense to happen because book one packed in an insane amount of action into just a few pages. That didn’t happen here and I was glad for it. There’s a bit of drama, but it’s resolved quickly and doesn’t seem to be wrapped up too neatly either.
This is short, sugary sweet, and erotic to the max. Enjoy!...more

This story was 4 stars until about 75%. I loved the premise, the MCs, and how their love story played out. Once the MCs got together the author tried to pack a ton of action into the rest of the story and I lost interest.
You find out almost immediately in the prologue that Jonah and Zev are fated mates and have to be apart for 12 years! Wow was I shocked and incredibly curious how it would all play out. Chapter one starts with their meeting as babies and follows their relationship until they get together. It was sweet, hot, and damn frustrating at times. I was very angry at one point and was about ready to quit when it was explained in a way that (mostly) satisfied me.
It was so satisfying when these two finally mated. It was a journey, but I loved it. You got on page shifting, a gentle alpha, biting, running, and a brief knotting. It was all wonderful. These two together were great, but their interactions after the mating kind of changed and their humor together felt forced. That’s when the rest of the story changed too. It was...odd. Almost like a different author was writing or the final bit was an afterthought and rushed. You did get such an intriguing introduction to a future couple that I’ve decided to skip straight to their story next!...more

This was okay. It was novella length so a lot of it felt rushed. I think it would have been a better book if it had been longer, but I knew I was going to feel that way because of the amount of pages.
I’m fine with the whole growly possessive alphas, but I do not like physical assault. Couldn’t we have shown Simon’s reluctance some other way? And was his reintroduction to the pack really necessary? It was a lot.
The story ended up being cute though and I did like that Simon was given space and control. The two MCs ended up being sweet together.
