I really really loved the first half (or maybe more) the end didn't keep my attention as much, but it was still really enjoyable. I appreciated this one didn't have as many annoying cameos from past characters like other books. (There was some, especially with the brother, and some in the epilogue but not a ton like has annoyed me in past books) The set up for the next book sounds really good, but it also really reminds me of the exact same premise from the most recent Sarina Bowen hockey book....more

The premise of private chef & celebrity sounded really good to me, but this just didn't really hit like I was hoping to. The forced proximity of being a live in private chef wasn't a big part of the plot. And the random fake dating thrown in was only OK. I don't think I'll read anymore of this series, but I am excited to get back to the food truck series....more
I dont even care what yall say and dont ask me questions but I LOVED this.
The plot/writing was pretty simple with some spelling errors. The charactersI dont even care what yall say and dont ask me questions but I LOVED this.
The plot/writing was pretty simple with some spelling errors. The characters didn't behave in a way any humans actually behave. It was very instalust/instalove. It was marketed as an enemies to lovers when it was really "mildly dislike but cant stop getting a boner around". Everything moved from 0-60 out of nowhere.
100% going on my "I said I liked it, I didn't say it was good" shelf because I dont even care I could not put this book down. ...more

It was such a fun book to read (and fun to annotate) I laughed out loud so many times. I loved all of the off campus & briar u books and I got so excited any time one of those characters would pop up. Gigi annoyed me a bit at times throughout the book, but I thought her character growth by the end was so good. Bennett was my favorite! I know he gets his own book but he is such a funny side character I'm nervous it would be doing too much when he is the main character. Also- this book really needed an epilogue! For such a long book there was a lot left that we needed an epilogue for!...more

wilderness/survival vibes - five stars realisticness- two stars (if you work in the medical field it will probably be even worse for you how unrealistic this was) really interesting/ thought provoking moral dilemma that caused really good book club discussion - five stars. (I think those that have read the book know what I am talking about as far as what Keegan did, and while I do not agree at all with what he did and got very mad at him, it really prompted me to think about what I would do in that situation and prompted a really good book club discussion, so five stars even though I hated keegan for a minute) dan - negative stars daisy - six stars being alone in the woods for ten years and a hot model literally falls out of the sky - five stars reading this book before bed and having weird avalanche dreams - three stars...more

So much of the relationship building happens off page. We get a lot of details about Blaise’s character growth and his work in costume design. We get a lot of Jordan’s character story with baseball and his future after college. And those plots were fine. But there wasn’t actually much of them together. So much was off page.
This biggest author sin of all- the first kiss was off page. I’m a huge fan of a well written first kiss scene. Why didn’t the author include it. Just a throwaway like “I kiss him, like we have done many times before
So many chapters started with “the last few weeks have been going great we did this and this and this but none of it is included on page. Just throwaway sentence references. It felt like almost all the relationship building happens off page.
When they said I love you for the first time it was completely out of no where. I thought maybe the edible hit me harder than normal and I somehow missed a couple chapters. It really went from throwaway lines of relationship development to I love you out of no where.
Even the epilogue is mostly about their career journeys and not the relationship.
Also without having read the Joy series by the author, I was so confused. It kept referencing Joy universe, Joyville, and joy inc. without ever saying what they are. I was so lost until I went back and read some blurbs from the authors Joy series and realized it’s a theme park. I think it’s supposed to be like Disney with both theme parks and movie production. Idk why the author just assumed everyone would know what that meant. It should have been explained if she wanted the book to read as a standalone.
I feel a bit bad giving this two stars because I’m in my nice era but it just felt so incomplete. It almost fell like it was written in a rush and the author hoped no one would notice if everything happens off page. ...more

This book was pretty good. The couple was very sweet and had a lot of sweet scenes together. Loved the hea and the epilogue.
A few times I wish it had a bit more. Maybe it was a bit too sweet and could have used a bit more angst. Also the characters were a bit annoying at times lol. I did like Huey’s character growth in the end.
At times i couldn’t help but wish I was reading Sofia and coco’s book instead- their story sounded so good. ...more
