Lan is doing her best even though she is no longer among the living to help keep her family safe but also assist in bettering the world. Her grandchildren are trying to make a positive change in their world, and those that are corrupte in power will do what ever they can to stop the movement, and stay in power. The power of shining a light on a dark truth, and sparking change... I have so many thoughts. A good book....more

He's flawed, and crude, and often brutal, but family... especially found family is worth fighting for and that ending... I'm already highly anticipating the 3rd book....more
