Boring, lacking interesting characters, boring, terrible love interest, Bella Swan, boring. There are so many things I could rant about the 30% that I read, but instead I shall review this is one gif.

Greis I haven't read it but I hear that it's really bad so I look forward to seeing what you think of it.

message 52: by alli (new) - rated it 3 stars

alli Good luck sister, the first book is bearable.

message 53: by Gabi (new)

Gabi I think I read somewhere that this was a write for hire. I don't know why anyone would specifically seek out a book like this to publish.

message 54: by Steph (new) - rated it 1 star

Steph Sinclair So far it's just really boring, but I'm only on chapter 2 so... yeah. LOL.

message 55: by Kala (new) - rated it 1 star

Kala haha! This was my least favorite angel YA book.

Rachel Yup lets promote abusive and controlling teen relationships woohoo that's hawt! *rolls eyes*

These books are such a mess.

Xiang How depressing this book was. Still better than the sequel though, it's been almost a year since I put it on on-hold...

Sandra It's on my shelf a while now as well ... but whenever I pick it up and think 'yeah, now is the time' - my gaze finds something more promising to-read ^^

Xiang Sandra wrote: "It's on my shelf a while now as well ... but whenever I pick it up and think 'yeah, now is the time' - my gaze finds something more promising to-read ^^"

Haha, well, I haven't even bothered to pick it up yet.

Diana (DomesticGoddess) Yeah, I got sucked in and ended up reading them all. I'll never get those hours back :-(

message 61: by Hayley (new)

Hayley Hall I didn`t read this one but I read the next 2 books, honestly NO idea how I lasted that long. Regardless IT SUCKS! oh no offense to the author though:)

message 62: by Chris (new)

Chris I'll put this on my short list of books...to never read.

That is smart.

MrsJoseph *grouchy* O_O

message 65: by Katie.g (new)

Katie.g Based on your status updates I can see it was a struggle to get even that far. I will definitely steer clear of this one.

message 66: by Bia (new) - rated it 1 star

Bia I am a masochist because I forced myself to read the whole thing and it was plain awful. The worst book I've ever read. And now they're making it into a movie. Unbelievable.

message 67: by Jack (new) - rated it 1 star

Jack an extremely horrible book i hated it

Greis I've heard lots of negative things about this series but I want to give it a shot just to see how bad it is.

message 69: by JD (new) - rated it 2 stars

JD I resulted to pulling my hair out, I was so bored.

message 70: by Hayley (new)

Hayley Hall After this many negative responses I wonder HOW in the world did it become a bestseller???

message 71: by Steph (new) - rated it 1 star

Steph Sinclair Same way Twilight did: It had a lot of fans.

message 72: by Selena (new)

Selena Was the person reading the book at least pleasant? Or at least not nails on a chalkboard?

Nicole "Recommended for Masochists" hahaha when I saw that you had started reading this I was going to ask why you were torturing yourself but refrained.

Steph Sinclair Nicole wrote: ""Recommended for Masochists" hahaha when I saw that you had started reading this I was going to ask why you were torturing yourself but refrained."

Heh. Yeah... I have a habit of letting my morbid curiosity get ahead of me.

Selena wrote: "Was the person reading the book at least pleasant? Or at least not nails on a chalkboard?"

The narrator wasn't bad at all. She really did try her best to make the book come to life.

bookSmith I agree, worse than Twilight. I actually tried to hold out hope, so read the whole series (many of my high school students like it). Now, I just wish I could get that time back.

message 76: by Mina (new) - rated it 5 stars

Mina You Only Read 30% And Expect To Understand The Book...?

message 77: by Steph (new) - rated it 1 star

Steph Sinclair Mina wrote: "You Only Read 30% And Expect To Understand The Book...?"

No, I don't expect to understand anything. That's the point. The part that I did read failed to hold my interest long enough for me to care.

message 78: by Cody (new) - rated it 3 stars

Cody Carter I think people over exaggerating how bad this book is. It held my interest even though there wasn't much action. You should still finish it. 30% is nothing. At least give it an honest rate. Even if you may hate it, you shouldn't trash it til you finish.

message 79: by Jack (new) - rated it 1 star

Jack i read the whole thing and it was horrible. from page fifty i didn't like it and it just got worse. it isn't trashing if it is her opinion, and, to be honest, she is right.

If You'd Actually Read The Book I Could Respect Your Dislike Of It, If Its Just Not Your Shit, Its Just Not. But You Didn't Even Give It A Chance, Then You Go Talking About It Negatively When You're Simply Ignorant To The Story And Its Meaning At All. I Don't Mean To Be Rude, I Honestly Don't. It Just Doesn't Make Sense To Me.

Respect To You. I'm Sorry You Didn't Enjoy The Book.

message 82: by Steph (last edited Apr 27, 2014 08:49AM) (new) - rated it 1 star

Steph Sinclair And that's the first mistake you made -- thinking I cared if anyone respected my decision to DNF a book that was doing nothing for me. I'd hardly consider calling a book boring as "trashing."

I really don't see why this is huge issue for you. You're still free to love the book, no one's stopping you.

message 83: by Katherine (new)

Katherine Sometimes a book is so horrifically atrocious or mind-numbingly boring that one must simply discontinue the thing. I'm surprised you got as far as you did, so I commend you :)

message 87: by Mina (new) - rated it 5 stars

Mina I Wasn't Sayng Any Of That For You To Get Defensive Over It, Steph, I'm Sorry That You Feel That Way. c: I Honestly Just Want To Know What You Didn't Like About The Parts Of The Book You Did Read. I'm Curious To See A Different Side.

message 88: by Cody (new) - rated it 3 stars

Cody Carter I have no time.

message 89: by Steph (last edited Apr 27, 2014 10:27AM) (new) - rated it 1 star

Steph Sinclair @Mina, Umm, you can on this thread telling me you don't respect my opinion because I didn't finish the book and you expect that NOT to get defensive?

I thought it was boring and I disliked Luce and Daniel. And I didn't care enough about them to continue their story. Basically, it's what I said in that little paragraph in my review.

@Cody, I'm not sure why you commented in the first place telling me to finish it and not trash it. (Which, BTW, I did not trash the book.) Good bye.

message 90: by O.R. (new) - added it

O.R. People decide whether a book is for them or not by reading a blurb, so 30% looks totally enough to me. Especially that you also, I guess, read reviews so you know what to expect anyway.

You Said You Didn't Care If You Were Respected Because Of This Or Not, So I Saw No Reason For You To Get Defensive. o:
This Feels Like An Argument To Me And I Really Don't Want It To Be One, So I'm Just Going To Say GoodBye, I Honestly Wish You The Best, Steph, And I'm Sorry To Have Offended You. We Simply Have Two Different Opinions And That Is Perfectly Fine. c:

message 93: by Cody (new) - rated it 3 stars

Cody Carter I just think that you should finish it, but I mean its alright if you don't. No one can force you to. Not trying to argue with someone I don't even know :) Happy Reading stranger :3

message 94: by Nila (new) - rated it 2 stars

Nila I felt the same way too.

message 95: by Nila (new) - rated it 2 stars

Nila lmao at the people who are all up on you about not finishing the book...

HittrixTheReader Frankly I like the book. I just wanted to let you know that the picture of the blondie is hysterical. How do you pull up them pics?

Athena Ivashkova ~♥~ THIS IS TURNING INTO A FUCKIN MOVIE THIS MONTH!!!!! howwwwww

°Ã¤³Ù I feel like most people share that opinion, me included. What I've heard about it in general, I sometimes think this has to be the lowest rated book ever...I don't know anyone who's enjoyed this book/this series. In my opinion, it gets even worse with the second one (I forced myself through that one because I already owned the book...what a mistake)
