Frostbite (Vampire Academy, #2)

After I read the first book in the series, I was rather indifferent about it, but I am one of those people who once they start reading a series I can't just not finish it. So, here I am on the second book and like the first one I thought that it was okay but not great.
One of my favorite things about this book was the introduction of Adrian Ivashkov. I liked what Adrian brought to the series and he ended up being one of my favorite characters. He was unbearable at times but lovable at others.
Like I said in my review about the first book in the series, I find these books rather predictable. Though it seems as though Dimitri and Tasha may have something, it's obvious to me that they won't because the main boy (Dimitri) and girl (Rose) character always seem to end up together.
I do have to give the author, Rachelle Mead, credit though, because been though I am not fond of the plot line the book is written very well. She is also doing a really good job when it comes to character development. Just from book one to book two you can tell how much Rose has matured as times get harder.
One thing that I also didn't like was how Masons death played out. I really didn't like the way that he died and wished that the whole scene dealing with it would have been a bit longer or more detailed. But then again if every thing that should have been more detailed was, the book would have been about 600 pages.
Overall, like I said, the book was okay. I would recommend it to anyone who does like romance and fantasy things like vampires, but I am just not one of those people who are.
