Brilliant piece of literature - intriguing story that keeps you guessing, a rather unreliable narrator and well drawn, interesting characters in a beautiful setting, a completely enjoyable reading &/or listening experience.

I listened to it right after "Rebecca", which was great, too. It really adds something for me when the narrator speaks with the accent you imagine the characters having and somehow makes the boring parts more interesting.
Here it is:
Rebecca narrated by Anna Massey
My Cousin Rachel narrated by Jonathan Pryce

Thank you for your patience with me for all these questions I am seeking your advice on:)

I get 90% of my reading & listening done on the bus to and from work 5 days a week - it is over 2 hours from leaving my house to walking into the office building where I work in New York City. Sometimes, Amazon has a special price if you add the audio version to a book you just bought from them, so if the book is really good, I can switch to audio when I get off the bus and walk actross town to my office. I walk about 1 1/2 miles from bus station to office building, so that gives me another 25 minutes to listen ( it is also practically the only excercise I do consistently).
I usually pick the books for my Audible credits that have a certain type of narrator's voice that I think would go well with the story. Or if I find a famous actor that is narrating, I will check out the sample.
Sissy Spacek narrating "To Kill a Mockngbird" had the perfect southern accent for that book!
Elijah Wood narrated "Huckleberry Finn", which was great. Also, Neil Gaiman and Joyce Maynard narrate their own books- Joyce has a really nice speaking voice.
I listened to Alice Walker narrate "The Color Purple", too. I feel that the author emphasizes what they think is important when they read their own work.
"After Her" by Joyce Maynard is pretty good, but I didn't finish it yet. Sometimes I get caught up reading books for a discussion on Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ that I might have put down otherwise. I' m really more interested in this book than the two I am reading for a discussion this month. I have a bad habit of not reading the books I already have, before I buy new ones for a discussion!

Thank you so very much for answering my questions. It sounds like you have a long day with your commute for work, but you can get a lot of your reading and audio books done during that time.
Good for you Terry!
I have the same habit of buying more books before reading what I have already bought :)
That is wonderful that you take part in the discussions. The two that I have read with you, you have had a good deal of information about the books that you contribute.
