honestly I don't feel comfortable saying anything about this book, it all feels like spoilers. However... what would you feel if you spent your life in an 11X11 square and then were released? What if your mom wanted to pretend it never happened? what if you were only five and still thought the wardrobe had feelings?

WARNINGWARNINGMORESPOILERS.
i actually read like a quarter not knowing they escape halfway through, but then i read the new york times review, which pretty much gives away the entire plot. which doesn't really matter too much since you need to experience it the way it is told. but i think this one would have benefitted from a "little bee"-esque shroud of secrecy.
