Slow, slow, slow moving. Horribly repetitive. There really isn't that much of a plot. The movie is much much better.

Thomas There isn't a plot? Did you even finish it? This is such a timeless classic love story. Maybe it's not for you but 1 star is an insult to a book of this magnitude.

Well, I'm glad that you enjoyed it as others have seemed to enjoy it. But I don't see it, so my personal review stands at not worth the time spent reading it.
