Update 2/2/16 FILM IS WAY BETTER!
DNF @ 55%.

Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope.

This book started out really promising. I liked the letters and emails thing, it was something I have never read before. But my God, does Cecelia Ahern know how to drag a story out. And then things kept separating Alex and Rosie and it just got really tedious. I don't care. I don't fricking care anymore!!! They were both unlikeable in my opinion. I didn't ship them together once they got to about 23.

The writing was actually okay. It was simple and easy to read but it was too much. I think Cecelia Ahern could have slashed the story in half to be honest. I read a summary of what happens at the end and oh my Jesus, I'm so glad I stopped reading this!!! Cecelia Ahern is now in my bad books. I would not recommend this book to anyone!!!!

Isabella Finally someone who shares my opinion about this book!!

Sarah @ALittleHaze you must have been feeling REALLY generous! I'm so glad I didn't finish it too, I mean, that ending??! I think I would have wanted to throw my iPad at the wall if I read the whole book! Yeah this has definitely turned me off Cecelia Ahern for a while!

Sarah @isabella yay! I don't understand how this book has almost 4 stars on here! It's awful!

Stephanie I felt the same way about this book and I don't think I even got as far as you did. I DNF'd it and threw it away lol.

Sarah @ALittleHaze haha yeah that makes a lot of sense!

Sarah @Stephanie it was a real struggle to get to where I got to! I should have put it down sooner like you! Hahaha I deleted the Ebook (and I never usually do that) ... I think we made the right choice!

Moonpierre Yes, I agree with you. I really hated this book, but hated more Rosie when she didn't make the decisions for herself and let others make for her.

Sarah Moonpiere I also disliked Rosie! She frustrated me so much because she never followed her own heart!

amal I think the movie's plot was a lot more easy to follow, believable and just better! I kind of agree with you, it did drag out a bit too much for my liking...

Anika aaa, you so spoke my mind! i literally stopped to see if i am seeing it right, that someone has totally felt what I felt! it was definitely promising, but fell short, couldn't even finish the book.

message 11: by Sarah (new) - rated it 1 star

Sarah @Anika I think we both made the right choice not to finish it!

Blank Canvas I absolutely agree with you!!! Both the main leads were so stupid and frustrating I just could not finish the book. I'm still contemplating whether I should watch the movie or not to see the ending. But I definitely do not want to waste my time finishing the book it just irritates me!

message 13: by Sarah (new) - rated it 1 star

Sarah @Blank it was a very frustrating book all together! I read something online to find out what happened because I wanted to know and trust me, we made the right decision not finishing the book. The film isn't as bad because it's slightly different! I actually liked the movie so you might too :)

message 14: by Blank (new)

Blank Canvas Really then I'll definitely watch the movie mostly because it has Sam Claflin in it haha

Deborah Chapman I found this book very hard to continue. I skipped a lot of the parts, especially the ones having to do with Toby and Katie because honestly I didn't get two craps about their story. I just care about Alex and Rosie so I skipped around a lot and got to the end. I was happy they got together but I was sad it took 50 years. You're right this but could've been cut in half and done much better

Sarah Yeah Deborah, I feel like it should have just been about Alex and Rosie because the book was already way too long with their story alone. I didn't like them though so I guess that's why it was easy for me to just stop reading it! Yeah the movie was what the book should have been :)
