She uses the word feminist like Beyonce does - a gimmick to get attention. Maybe this is the real reason she considers herself a bed feminist. I felt her essays were like bad book reports by a junior high schooler: " This TV show or movie was about this and this and this and then this happened so this is what it all means." Ugh! I can forgive the misleading title and the heavy emphasis on pop media culture but the awful writing by someone who teaches writing at a college level is inexcusable.
