4.5 Oh-God, Why is it Over Stars?
Moonlight on Nightingale Way is the last book in the On Dublin Street series. It is also a standalone. Although, since it’s the last in the series, I highly suggest you read the previous books to get the full effect.
Moonlight on Nightingale Way was the perfect conclusion to my beloved series. Sigh. I loved it. I loved the storyline, I loved the characters, correction, I LOVED ALL the characters. I felt like Samantha Young really gave what the viewers craved. Romance, tension, slight angst, and sweet love.
She did the last book good.
Logan is Shannon’s brother. Remember, Logan was the guy that beat up Shannon’s ex because she was almost rapped? Logan went to prison for two years because of that and even though he’s been out for some time, he’s different. He isn’t the happy-go-lucky guy anymore. He’s hard.
Grace works from home and her new neighbor makes it very hard for her to do her job. Because her neighbor has sex late at night and ladies are very loud. I know, it’s completely funny and I love it. Logan is Grace’s new neighbor.
I love the banter between Grace and Logan. Obviously Grace hates Logan. She’s annoyed by him and wants nothing to do with him. Since they are neighbors, they run into each other often and every time they do, Grace has something to complain about. Like Logan’s ex’s throwing up in front of her door step or leaving their underwear to dry on the balcony. It’s completely funny and 100% cute.
Logan is a jerk. He’s the hero you want to hate, but you can’t help but have a crush on. He doesn’t have any consideration for Grace’s feelings and he’s very vocal about it. Even though Logan is a complete jerk and even though he has lots of sex, he’s not a bad guy. He’s sensitive and very caring.
Grace starts to see this side of him.
The book shifts a lot in the book and it changes the relationship between Grace and Logan. I LOVE the shift! These are the kind of books I read. The shift brings Grace and Logan closer, even though they don’t want to be. Grace is now thrown into Logan’s life and she’s questioning if it’s a good idea.
Both are starting to have feelings towards each other and both don’t know what to do about it. At times Logan can be really difficult. I get it. He’s a tough guy that went through a lot of stuff in his past, but Grace has her demons too. She’s very hurt by her parents it still haunts her to this day.
I love Grace. I found her very sweet, kind and the type of person I would love to be friends with. She tries very hard to do the right thing, even when Logan is a completely jerk to her. You also get a huge glimpse of the gang from the previous books. It’s kind of bittersweet because this is the last book in the series.
On Dublin Street was my first Samantha Young novel and I fell in love with it instantly. It’s one of the first books that got me hooked on romance books. I’m terribly sad this series is over. It’s like saying goodbye to an old friend, but it was a great goodbye.
If you are a fan of the series, you must finish it out with Moonlight on Nightingale Way

The things I’m going to do to you, babe. I’m going to make you mine, every single piece of you.
I’ve got all the time in the world, Grace. All the time in the world for you.
