did not like it
bookshelves: eh, unpopular-opinion, 1-and-a-half-stars, fantasy, ya, reviewed, project-review-everything

conspiracy theory: cassandra clare was put under a curse to get as close to making a book interesting as possible without getting there.

like, a whole book of badass shadow-magic people, but all of them are annoying teenagers with incest subplots, and the plot is so slow it takes a hundred years to read, for example.

part of a series i'm doing in which i review books i read a long time ago

Ely I love this book series (or did many years ago) but this review absolutely cracked me up.

leynes if there's one thing miss cassie clare loves it's an incest-tease in her books lmao

Talia Devereaux Clary is the most annoying teenager/self-insert character ever.

´¡²õ³¾Ã¤ Not gonna lie I loved this series even though it was cringy af. I think it's one of those cheesy clichés that everyone loves specifically for the cringe ? like Twilight and hush hush yk. but c'mon TMI is still way better then Twilight.. at least in my opinion.

Freya You deeply insult most of the books I like, but I can't really hate you for that because the sarcasm and perspicacity (had to google that, hope it expresses what I wanna say, English isn't my mother language) with which you formulate your opinions, make them way to interesting and entertaining to offend me at all. If you ever find the time write a book yourself, I would be delighted to read it, even if it was a cookbook. (No offense to cookbooks, but they aren't really for me)

Ruri My brain died halfway through the first book. Grateful to the tbr gods above for not letting me buy the entire series at once
