Katherine, have you read any of his other books set in the same area? I have been wondering if they need to be read in order.

No, although they have been on my to read list for a long time. A Nother review I read of this book said these are two characters we have never met before in any of his books.
This book really sneaks up on you. It is very. relaxing to read, and then you suddenly realize a lot is happening.
OK, good to know. Will make reading his work a little easier to manage if I don't have to go in order.
