Weird is a relative term.Lol...I hear ya! Lately, I find myself drawn to MG more than YA. XD
I do this all the time. Although I only look at the pictures (fascinated with children's book illustrations cause of my job)

I read a lot of kindergarten books for my students even though I teach in 4th grade because it's English books soooo obviously, my students being French :P It cracks me up :D
I've seen this at the library. It's mine tomorrow. 32 pages, I can read while waiting for the bus home.

It's really REALLY short (really short sentences and repetitive structure) - I'd say for 3-4-5 children? My students are older but that's in English so... Anyway, it made me laugh >.< The Day the Crayons Quit is longer and really REALLY funny >.< (for a French, anyway, for what it's worth :P)
3-4-5 children. That's my level after 8 hours at work listening to people complain (tomorrow I'm doing 9 hours). Just what I need. ^^

As a matter of fact, yes I have seen an adult enjoying this book-- two young women at a used book place were reading it aloud to each other and laughing and cooing over it. They were happy to bring me into their charmed circle. I might not have noticed how charming it is but thanks to them-- oh yes!
