I want someone to explain to me in great detail why this book isn't a rip off of The Complete Compleat Enchanter.
And that book was funnier.
It's kinda cool combining all the stories and stuff, but honesty, it's been done better.
And it didn't need three introductions.

Really, because the Harold Shea stories date from the late 30s, and early forties. Isn't Silverlock 1946?
The book you linked to - The Complete Compleat Enchanter - was published in 1988. Silverlock was published in 1949. Are the publication dates on Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ incorrect? If so, I apologize.
Don't apolgize. The book I linked to is a collection that was published in the 80s, the stories were published seperately at a much earlier date. The 80s collection just presented them in one edition. It's okay, really :). Sorry if I sounded snarky.
If I remember _The Compleat Enchanter_ well enough (thanks for mentioning it--I may re-read it), the style and theme are different. I found _Silverlock_ enjoyable because of its journey through traditional themes; it seemed to me that the cynical protagonist was transformed into a hero, and I liked spotting the literary references and noting ones that were unfamiliar.
