Goodness, it was lovely to be back in this book world. The world that Marissa depicted is so graphic, so amazing, I could read it forever.



Fairest is the backstory of Levana and I gotta say, I’ve got this pit of growing sympathy for her (and I really don’t want to feel sympathetic). It’s just the way she was treated and how she was raised lead the path to the monster she became in the series.



This novella is pretty short and very, very enjoyable. I seriously love Marissa’s writing style, it’s so intriguing and authentic; you’re really put in the world.

My favourite part of this book was the cute little cameos we got of the crew as children. Just hearing about young Winter and baby Selene had me squealing.

There’s not much more to say, if you’ve made it this far in the series, you should totally read this novella, like right now, cause it paints a gripping backstory and really makes the whole series more real.
