really liked it
bookshelves: mystery

Enjoyed it. As usual, nice description of the landscape and setting. Leaphorn is particularly distracted by his wife's medical issues. Chee is less distracted by his female friends than normal, as things are ending with Mary and he skirmishes professionally with Janet. Suspenseful plot.

Carmen I was encouraged by Mary and him cooling down! I can't stand her.

carol. If I remember right, she's the white women? They discover their cultural differences are more significant than they thought? It's been a very long time...

Carmen Correct and correct. :D Good memory, Carol.

carol. Ha. I didn't like her much either. Not sure we were supposed to.

Carmen Oh, okay. Good. He sure is convinced he loves her and moons over her constantly. :(
