Penelope Douglas is becoming an author I like more and more. I didn't read her Bully series but I did read Corrupt & Misconduct this year.

Punk 57 attracted me from the start with the synopsis and I got the confirmation while reading.
I had a hard time to really get in the book. It took me almost 15 % to be fully invested in Misha & Ryen's story. But once I was, it was non stop reading for me. It's because I needed sleep that I had to stop for some time.

Ryen is not the perfect heroine. She has lots of flaws, she doesn't act the way she should, she thinks of herself before others but I get where she came from.
Penelope Douglas wrote more than a romance book where two people exchange letters and get to know each other over the years. She wrote about real problems that teenagers and people in school meet everyday!
It's a book about finding a way to be who you really are and not how people want you to be to appear "cool"

Misha might be a grad A A-hole but he won me over from the beginning. He is the one who suffered the most, yet you never see him complain. He knows his actions are not for the best. The way he tricks Ryen into meeting him at school was definitely not ok but I get him and his actions too.

I know my review seems a little cryptic. I think you should only read the book to know all the truths there are. You'll get to witness the chemistry both MC have, why they are meant for each other and how they

I have a special mention for the end that was just perfection! I ADORE it! And Penelope I read your note and you put words to why exactly as a reader I'm always harsher with the heroine than the guy! Thank you
