This book took me around 4 months to read, and I just couldn't get into it. I absolutely adored the movie, but I think having watched that first ruined the reading experience for me. I wish I loved it like everyone else in the world :/ haha

You had a plethora of pieces of information that I strongly agree with. I to, never have read a book with a character of death and found it interesting but at times annoying, and that is good you admitted that even you loved this book like me. Additionally you mentioned that the pacing of the story was slow but fitting for the book. I strongly agree with this point because this is a long book and you need to think about what you are reading. Concluding this, you had a great review!

I think this is a great response because although it was simple, I think it summed up the story as a whole. This simple sentence really encommpasses Zusak’s work and Leisel’s story. I would agree that this story did take awhile to set in because of how deep it can impact the reader, but once it settles you can truly understand how great of a piece it is. I also think the word “masterpiece� is a good fit because of how well Markus Zusak put this piece together and worded it beautifully. I think a great story takes a while to settle after putting it down, and an even longer time to forget.

A book to be read with a clear mind. This is a book that I had to reread. So much between the pages.
