A Mother's Reckoning: Living in the Aftermath of Tragedy

I was a freshman in college when this tragedy happened. It was so unbelievable to me that it was happening as I watched it unfold on television. Now, fast forward 18 years and it seems there is one or more a year and it is sickening and sad. This was a wonderful book that really opened your eyes to the background of Dylan Klebold and his family. I have two children and I felt like Sue did in the book...we raised a good child...how could this happen...this isn't my child...it goes to show, as she quoted one doctor in the book...do we ever really know anyone, even someone we gave birth to. My heart broke for her and all the victims as I read this book. It really opens your eyes into how judgemental we are about things as we see them unfold and also how important mental health is and how little resources there are for people. The only thing I wish had been in there would have been resources for mental health. Also, every dime from this book sale goes to help mental health organizations. Thank you Sue for sharing your story. My heart broke for you and all those involved and really made me come away with a better understanding.
