All the stars the human eye can see, those in the entire universe, I give them all, to this book.

You heard me. Err.. read me.

Penelope Douglas, I want to hug you. I want to kiss you. I want to sleep on the floor beside your bed. Because I want to marry this book. I want to have babies with it (possibly with Misha, thx).
I want you to keep slaying because, DAMN GIRL, YOU SLAY.

I don't know what to say. I'm so infatuated with this story I'm afraid I won't be able to give a decent review because I have so many feelings going through my head I'm feeling lightheaded and I'm already babbling with no filter whatsoever.

But, DAMN.
Did I say DAAAAMN?

The blurb speaks for itself, the story is original, it's addicting, you find yourself not being able to put it down.

I sat through a 3 hours Sociology lesson while reading this golden treasure. And kept reading during the journey on the train. And the walk from the station to my house. And the 57 stair steps to my apartment.
You don't want to know how many times I risked hurting myself. Starting with the street lamps.

BUT I'M ALIVE.

Not only that, I'm also quite damn happy, because, ladies and gentlemen, there is a new entry in my mind harem.

Yes, my mind harem is growing pretty fast and I'm not going to complain.

Misha, Masen, Lare, Grayson, call him as you want him, he's the shit. He is 18 years old, so the alpha effect has yet to completely develop but he's not lacking in ANYTHING.

He has me in a heart shaped box, I'm waiting for him to open it and tell me he's ready to love me and have kids with his dark hair and pretty, pretty, pretty green eyes.
Yes, I dig it.

There is something really special about this book. You get to understand the relationship of the h and H, you get a lot of glimpses of what has been their eternal and sweet friendship since their were kids.
It all happened because of a mistake. They became pen pals because Ryen's teacher thought Misha (who was from another school) was a girl, and Misha's teacher thought Ryen was a boy.

I have heart shaped eyes by just remembering the electricity between them, the sparks, the love, the possession, the belonging to each other without even knowing that yet.

It's so beautiful how their story develops, the secrets, the misunderstandings, their flaws, EVERYTHING.

It's never boring, it's addicting, I kept craving their meetings, their fights, their fire.

Then there is Ryen. It's incredible how this character grows, it makes me tear up a little. I really liked her by the end. At first I was left open-mouthed by her behaviour, but worry not. Nothing is hopeless, nothing is lost.
Her journey is beautiful. It's a story of finding yourself, of reaching your freedom, freedom to be as you want to be.
I'm so proud of her, and happy she got her HEA with the guy who holds her heart and soul, and loves her despite her flaws but most important, because of them.

Nice thing? the story involves more characters, and those characters are not just bystanders.

Nay nay.
In fact I'm starting a petition to have a book for Manny and that other person I won't mention otherwise, spoiler.
But you get my point: i'm left with this thirst of MORE, MORE, MMOOOORE.

I'm in love. I think it's kinda obvious, because I don't know what I'm saying.

I actually don't know how to put my love and respect for this book and this author into words.

Soooo I'll just leave it here, my diarrhea of words. Yeah.

Oh, and read it. You have to. If not for the content at least for the excellent writing.

Sincerely, me.

One last thing! There are a lot of surprises, and GASP moments. Even though I figured most thing out by the time that the truths were revealed (and is kinda satisfying), you enjoy it nonetheless because the way this miss writes: it gives you the chills. In a positive way of course.

When you get to the end, please, take your time to read the Note from the author.
Penelope Douglas is the shit.

Guys, it's not even out yet.
Why don't you rate it even if you haven't read it? oh wait, you do.
Sounds like fun. But what's the point?

Latasha Connor I feel the same way... How are you rating something that's not even out yet?!!

message 2: by Jennifer (new) - added it

Jennifer I assume it's a way for them to mark a book they want to read. Not sure why they woudn't mark it as such though

Yeah, that's what I thought too, but they could make a shelf for that, like everybody else.. it goes against the main point of rating a book, which is judging its contents and the opinion you have about it AFTER reading it.

Erin GR has no standard of rating. You can rate a book based on how much you want to read it, how much you love or hate the author...etc. It's stupid. Don't rate the book unless you've read it!!!!

Agree, that's not only misleading but also highly annoying..

Jenny It is super annoying! ESP a low stars for a book that didn't even have a cover until today!?

Exactly! It irritates me so much, that's why I always have to pick carefully the reviews of trusted people and not let me lead by the everage rating. But it's actually sad..

Bookswithdy some rate a book just because of the author, but some readers get a copy of the book before it even comes out.. like a beta reader or something,, they are the ones that mosly rate..

You are totally right, and I know that, but when I wrote this comment it was april and the writer herself said it wasn't even finished, and there were already some ratings..
It just bugged me, because I find it unfair

message 10: by Jeannie (new)

Jeannie Zelos I haven't read this ( or rated it!) but I get lots of books as ARCs from authors and publishers way before release day. I've one on my kindle now that isn't out til next march and lots for nov , dec and jan. Persoanlly I don't review until publication unless its a book direct from an author and they ask me to rate/review here.
That's how there's reviews and ratings before the book is out. :-) but I agree that rating something you haven't read is wrong - doesn't help anyone IMO
