I don't know why, but I wanted so much to hate this book... And in some ways I did- Not because it was slow, boring, or uncreative, but because it grossed me out seeing how anyone, even I, could meander down the wrong path so easily. Crank really made me look into the mirror and rethink my standards/morals. This is definitely something EVERY TEEN should read, for it teaches an important lesson. I give Ellen Hopkins 5 stars for this masterpiece. It may not have become one of my favorites, but a poetic masterpiece it is none the less.

Austin You should continue this series. Glass and Fallout are both very good sequels. But my favorite of Ellen's work is Impulse.

Cory Kaaukai I definitely will! I think I just need month intervals between them all lol. Crank was too emotionally strenuous; need some light back in my reading life :D

Jean Valjean (OG 2010) I'm with Austin here. It's heartbreaking (as are all of Ellen Hopkins' works), but at least you feel a small amount of closure at the end.

Rene i agree it was just to slow although it had a great plot

Gabriel I strongly disagree with your opinion about this book being bad. If you have never known someone or was apart of someone's life that went down the wrong path when they were young then you really have no room to talk because it's not like they grew up to do that. They can be going thought a rough time in life or just don't like their self. So my opinion is this is a great book.
