I would have to force myself to finish reading this book and quite frankly I don't want to. Neither like nor care what happens to these characters.

Zoeytron I applaud you, Diane. We don't have to finish reading a book if we don't want to, because we are big. Ha!

message 2: by Carol (new)

Carol I so agree with Zoey!

Diane S ☔ One of the perks of getting older and wiser. Lol

message 4: by Brenda (new)

Brenda Good for you, Diane! Hope your next one is a great one.

message 5: by MomToKippy (new)

MomToKippy More and more I am doing the same. Life is too short to read mediocre stuff.

message 6: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer Next! :-)

Candi Oh no! This one is on my list, lol.

Jennifer Masterson Oh sorry Diane but good for you!

Angela M Good for you , Diane. I read this a while ago and gave it three stars . I wasn't writing reviews then so I don't remember why . I have tried reading this author since and for some reason we just don't click .

Diane S ☔ I seem to be dropping books faster than I am reading them, but I guess sometimes it just happens that way.

Candi, you may feel differently.

Angela, it seems that all these characters do is boast, complain, moan and groan, maybe it changes later on but I don't care enough to find out.

Thanks everyone in your support of my dropping books. Lol

message 11: by LA (new) - rated it 3 stars

LA Its easy for most of us to shriek at the idea of arranged marriages, but this did a nice job of showing that falling in love doesn't always work out so hot after all. These sisters had less than joyous outcomes, and like you, it was hard for me to muster much enthusiasm. I think the author writes well - this was just pretty darn sad. You didnt miss anything major.

Angela M Diane , several years ago I would always finish a book I started no matter what . At some point ,I decided that life is too short and there are so many good books to read. I applaud you.

Petra nearly in Melbourne I liked this book, but I also had "don't care" moments when reading it.

Diane S ☔ Thanks, Angela.

Petra X, just couldn't get into this one, could be my reading mood at present but I just could not make myself care and also thought it was unnecessarily wordy. Heard the movie is good though but doubt I will seek it out.

Petra nearly in Melbourne Different strokes for different folks. My bookshop is stocked full of books customers don't want to read and other books they love but I would never read.
