The prologue in this is by far the best chapter in the entire series

Yes that are my feelings, I'm so frustrated. I really try to understand the creative process, and appreciate the quality of the finished book, but this guy have no mercy. Same with Patrick Rothfuss
I got about a fifth of the way through this one several years ago, after absolutely devouring the previous books, but finally realised that the series was so monumentally dark and depressing that I just couldn't do it to myself any longer.

This book slowed way down for me. I am surprised I gave it four stars really. I liked the previous books in the series.
