P I stopped watching the series after season 5.

Amanda Minnock I haven't watched the series yet how did you find it?

Norah Una Sumner I've read all the books in TVD series that L.J.Smith wrote and yeah...Uh, they definitely have their ups and downs. Overall, they were all a 3-star read except the fifth book which got a straight 1 star from me and the sixth one which I really loved. Elena is the most boring character in the series tbh. I really liked Stefan, and Damon as well. My favourite character was Sage, he appears later in the series if I recall well and Matt - he's so much more awesome in books! I've only watched first two seasons of the TV show and los any interest. But maybe it's because I've read the books first and just felt really mad that they changed everything in the TV shows. The only thing the books and TV show have in common are the names of 5 characters. I mean, they even made a spin-off TV series for Klaus who only appears in one book for real. There's a lot of different things in the books such as Japanese spirits, foxes, Underworld etc. What put me off with the TV show was the love triangle as well. In the books, there's a hint of it in the first 3,4 books but later on Elena is in no way up for a love triangle. (well, also Nina Dobrev who, to me, equals Kristen Stewart in her non-expression-ability). Sorry, I kind of raved for a little too long haha. But I don't see TVD reviews on my homepage at all so I had to share my opinions with you. xx

Amanda Minnock I will have a look Norah! Maybe I was a bit quick to DNF it and should give it another go but it was just so cringe how they don't know each other and she's talking about being in love and floating about in the morning like nothing's happened after they were attacked lol! Xx

Hahahaha, yeah, I call that the UF paranormal syndrome. Every book of that genre I've read has that trope!

That's an amazing way to put it!!!

Well after a lot of consideration and by the way you have sold it to me I'm going to give it another go.. Also because the whole DNF isn't for me I keep thinking about it!

Emily You should at least try the tv show if you don't want to read the books. I'm currently reading the first book too and it's nothing like the show but I absolutely love the show and think you should give it a try. The book is a little strange and seems like it's missing something and I'm trying to be really open minded so it doesn't ruin the show for me lol

Amanda Minnock Aw Emily I will definitely give the show a try, I'm probably going to give the book a break for a bit then try again lol!
