The final discussion post for our is up on the blog!
All three of us ended up liking, but not loving it the way so many of our fellow readers seem to. What did you think?
------------------------------
3.5 stars I loved Max, "The Standover Man," Hans, and few other moments, but overall found that the writing style distracted from the story for me. Disappointing that I don't love this as much as so many of my fellow readers seem to.

I've broken up the 500+ pages into four weeks, so we'll be meeting up virtually each Friday in October. K, Tonya, and I will have posted some of our thoughts from those pages, and everyone can join in the discussion in the comments.
Did I answer your question? Readalongs on GoodReads are probably a little easier to track, but not everyoneis on GoodReads. (weird, I know.)

Yeah, we've all been meaning to read this book forever and have been talking about doing the readalong since the beginning of the year. But we definitely want to get it in before the movie's out--the trailer does look really promising. Glad you're going to participate, Wan!
Valeria--that's what I hear--many tears. I'm happy to see that you loved it!

And yes, the trailer looks great! Gave me chills, as the good ones do.

I know, I'm so ashamed, Heather. *hangs head* I've watched that trailer three times now, and each time it makes me anxious to read/see this!
Belle--I hope you'll join if you can! I guess I should post this on Twitter, too. Being that we have a hashtag and all, hah.

Liz--oh, awesome! We know October's busy, so just join in as you can. We won't take roll call each week. ;)
Rebecca--yay! I'm happy to hear that.
Cheap Reader--that's the sign of a good book, when you wish you could experience the first time all over again. :) And thank you!
Wart--Excellent! Looking forward to some great discussion with this one.
Kate--yay! I'm so glad a kindred spirit is going to join. This should be fun.
AH--awesome. It's been on my TBR list forever, too, this is a good opportunity to see what the fuss is about.

I've never attempted to do a readalong this big either, so we'll see how it goes, hah. I've done quite a few with friends on GoodReads, but this is a whole different thing. And yes, that timing wasn't an accident. ;)

Crowinator--I knew there had to be others in hiding, hah. Everyone always looks at me all side-eyed when I confess I haven't read it yet. But soon, NO MORE. I hope you'll be able to join!
I think I've been meaning to read this for about that same amount of time, Betsy. Nothing like the threat of a movie adaptation to get us going, hah.

Leea--DO! It will be fun. Or at least, a massive support group for all the tears.

That, and too many 5-star reviews.

Omg, I just looked at the current description, Kate--it is awful! Whoever changed it for the movie tie in did a terrible job.
And yeah, part of the reason I haven't read it yet is that the pressure to love it is immense. I sincerely hope we love it, having started this giant endeavor...
