My words while reading: stunning, terrific... (can't stop myself from praising this book)
One of the best books ever! My emotions are still in the influence of this book's ending. What a great book and the ending it was!

SETTINGS
--- Hogwart School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
One of the finest school for wizards and witches to learn magic. I liked it very much. It is very well written.

MAJOR CHARACTERS

Harry Potter, of course!
Bio
--- An orphan child. He lives with his uncle and aunt (I didn't like them as they were so rude with Harry), who don't tell him he is a WIZARD! Even though they knew it.
My Feelings
--- A very appealing and effective character. I liked him very much.
One thing I didn't like about him: (view spoiler)[ I was expecting some more magic from him but he didn't do more then once or twice, as much as I remember. (hide spoiler)]

Ron
Bio
--- One of Harry's best friends.
My Feelings
--- A good one. I also liked him almost as much as I liked Harry.

Hermione
Bio
--- Also one of Harry's best friends. She has a very brilliant mind.
My Feelings
--- Actually, I didn't get any feelings while reading her. I don't know why? Although she is very well written. But I liked her dialogues with Ron. That's sort of...HUMOROUS.

Voldemort
Bio
--- A bad wizard. Main antagonist of this series, I assume and the killer of Harry's parents. He also tried to kill Harry but couldn't and He vanishes after that and nobody knows where he is?
My Feelings
--- He seems a powerful antagonist I will ever read. he didn't appear much. This book just gives us the introduction of his existence. But I am sure I will enjoy reading him in the next books.

Albus Dumbledore(Headmaster of Hogwarts) and Hagrid(Keeper of Hogwarts). Both of them seem nice persons to me.


OVERVIEW
Harry finds out he is a wizard when Hagrid gives him the letter from Hogwarts for admission. Harry's life changes completely while studying in Hogwarts when they(Harry, Ron and Hermione) run across the forbidden section of the 3rd floor of Hogwarts. (view spoiler)[ There is a stone named Sorcerer's Stone which can extend your life and transform any material into gold. This stone is hidden in that section of the 3rd floor and a dog(who is very big in size and have three heads), and many enchantments are guarding it. (hide spoiler)]

A very big spoiler: (view spoiler)[ Voldemort is after this stone because he becomes too week after killing trying to kill harry. If he gets the Stone he will become powerful, again. (hide spoiler)]


THINGS I LIKED
Everything! from beginning to ending except for one minor thing (see next section).

Quidditch
I liked this sport a lot. When I came to know about it I thought "Author will skip this and announce the winner" BUT author wrote this sport in such a brilliant way that I want more on this sport. There is a book on this and I will read that book soon.

Last Chapter
Just one line: "Anyone can betray anyone."

This book contains a good deal of very entertaining scenes. I liked the imagination of author.


THINGS I DIDN'T LIKE (not that much)

Nicolas Flamel's Intoduction
This book took little long time to introduce Nicolas (friend of Dumbledore and (view spoiler)[the maker of Sorcerer's Stone (hide spoiler)]), 2 chapters (arround 30 pages). I couldn't like it much because Harry was wondering he had heard/read that name before but he didn't remember it right now. I can understand. BUT 2 CHAPTERS! Seriously! Even though we knew where Harry had read that name. In the train when he was coming to Hogwarts. It didn't look good to me or I couldn't find any fair reason to make this topic that long.I didn't completely hate that fact. I liked it but not that much I liked the whole things in the book.


RECOMMENDATION
Everyone should read it regardless of their tastes, I mean, favourite genre. I don't think there would be a person on this planet (silly thing to say) who would dare to hate this book. I have become a very big fan of this series. It is not a surprise who wouldn't be. I highly recommend this book to those who hasn't started reading. This book would be a great start for them.


CONCLUSION
I must say author has done a good deal of hard work. She wrote every scene in such a way that there would be no need of any visual form of this. I could visualize every scene of this book very easily while reading. I didn't thought I would read this type of writing style after Rick Riordan's. She is on second position in my list of Author's-Writing-Style. SORRY! I can't replace Rick Riordan's style with anybody's. I liked his style more than anybody's. I am really looking forward to read Parcy Jackson series BUT you know, 2 series of 10 books (5 in each) is more than enough books for me to read right now. BUT Sooner or later I will read that series too.
